Bernard Nienaberm'1Tony has that quality of dependability. Arthur ICinemangJunior this year. with one more year of competition. Einie found himself during tourney. Leonard WelageWDeveloped very fast this Year and with one more year of competition has unlimited capabilities. Delbert Martin-Also developed ve1'y fast. He and Welage are tallest boys on a squad which needs height badly. James KlenefPlaying his first year of varsity ball, Jim proved he has plenty of ability. He has one more year of competition. Earl Grayson -A junior, who has the desire to help make next year the best in Greens- burg history. Louis Patterson -Big, fast, rugged and unafraid, he has one more year to play. He received his experience this year. John Dehloss Y Y 7 A sophomore, the spark plug with the ability to drive. He has a burning desire to see Greensburg on top. Clyde Miller-Smallest and fastest man on the squad. His courage cannot be questioned. Walter Boling-Hard luck boy of squad, he is trying hard to follow in his brother's footsteps.

3 0 l Heavy Artillery Sports develop bodies - co-ordinate muscles - further sportsmanship - promote co-operation - teach give and take - demand a trigger-quick mind - train in self-control. All this is America's justification for universal sports - not to produce brawn for aggressive strength. Basketball takes first place in high school athletics. The Pirates' 19-10-all crew, piloted by Tom Downey, launched upon the basketball season with all sails set, vanquishing such foes at Richmond, Lawrenceburg, Rushville, and North Vernon at the peak of their season. Then, upon striking a calm, they lapsed to defeat by St. Paul in the local sectional. Robert Stutz, because of 'ff A -. . . , . . - . .
