All this is America's justification for universal sports - not to produce brawn for aggressive strength. Basketball takes first place in high school athletics. The Pirates' 19-10-all crew, piloted by Tom Downey, launched upon the basketball season with all sails set, vanquishing such foes at Richmond, Lawrenceburg, Rushville, and North Vernon at the peak of their season. Then, upon striking a calm, they lapsed to defeat by St. Paul in the local sectional. Robert Stutz, because of 'ff A -. . . , . . - . .
