GREEN LAS PLES OF THE FUTURE As I sat in the class ioom I sudd nly found myself de p in the arms of Morpheus Sweet music descended and I had a vision As the music gr w more distinct I discovered 1 was Kathleen Faylor singmg the blues at the Coconut Grove Miss Taylor was featur d with Jo Rogers his orchestra and his washboard His piano player was the famous Pauline Curry Rex Jeffries was monopolizmg the string section As an added attraction and a boost to the show they had Emery Jones and C J Bridg water the unusual dancing team William Thomas Moore was w ter boy and stood close to the stage to carry Emery and C J off when they became exhausted At the tables under the palms sat Dot Turner that excluslve model for S ars and Roebuck She was accompanied bv Junior Ennis who was making millions as a stage technician for M G M stud os As a partner with Junior was J B Henderson who was donating millions for the new hospital in h1s home town The hospital saved Arthur Mltchells life last year when he and Ray Vance went to Cuba to see Elwood McKinney the big banana plantationer Arthur gr w vcry ill while there and was rushed home and put und r the car of Dr Naomi Hender son It took thr e capabl nurses Prudence M lay Jan t Mous r and Mildred Cow and tvo d1et1c1ans Cl mentine Blakeman and Ann Elizabeth Cantrell to bring Arthur back to normal Maybe it was the hum of the radiator but I thought I heard June Ennis airplane flying above with Louise Will ams aboard as stewardess They had just received a distress signal from the S S Kentucky manned by Capt William Shuffet Captain Bill was calling for n lo because they had run aground on a sho Henry Rhea Tucker lost while crossing the Atlantic last year On board the S S Kentucky were William Allen Rogers and Ray Ford traveling for their health Guinn Moss Leachman had planned to go too but he missed the boat Lucille Slinker was stewardess on the ship and a good one too Smith Tucker and Christine Gupton had decided that two could live as cheap ly as one and they looked happy abou' it As my nightmare continued I found Agnes Money and Roxie Pierce writing to star' Mildred s car Lucille Bale Mazola Wilcoicson and Cl 0 Hall made marriage their career D xie Patrum used to say that she would net er F3156 turkeys but the glamour bov of the farm must have be n too much for her Th dream changed but Pay Slinker was still the same Ray was in Hardie Warrens beau y shop being beautlned by Martha Lee Gumm and Rachel Pickett assistants in Hardies shop He w as hating his shoes shined by Burford Coakley Re Scott w s becoming famous telling the public how to become a blond in three ea y l ssor Exelyn Risen ran a column in a local newspaper giving advice to the love lorn l'o'Jert Shuffett the pro p ctlve Governor of Kv never missed a nu lcation of this articl In a new cottag I fou d Marianna Whitlock as a blushing brid and making bric bat biscuits Best beware Fommy Sanders you may be editor of the Courier but how are your digestive qualities?
