out a roaring success. On March 'l6th we were enthralled by the music of Rosalie , every girl became a princess, each boy a prince charming. APWL Back to school-this time with Easter eggs to add color to our routine lunches. On April 12-13 and against a background of Broadway brilliance, the Dolphin Club dazzled spectators in this year's Aquacade. The Commercial Club assembly proved to be different and entertaining as always. The forces of the three classes joined in one final talent assembly. Blaring trumpets and clashing cymbals introduced the annual band concert. One Enchanted Evening the Soiree came, April 27, amid swirling gowns, scented flowers, and white dinner jackets-and went all too quickly. MAY A showing of the latest styles made and modeled by our own skilled home econo- mists, fulfilled every dream of the fashion- minded. May 'llth featured twin events. The Awards Assembly made many col- lege dreams realities. In the second, the May Queen Coronation, the attendants marched solemnly to the throne to the strains of Pomp and Circumstance , then the breathtaking moment-our Queen was revealed. Senior Day on the 'I8th cli- maxed long weeks of dress-hunting and allotted the reigning class a whole day to to claim full supremacy and parade their 97 talents. When Brown and Whites were distributed on the 23rd, all pens ran dry and writer's cramp took its toll. Without time to recover, we tangled once more with those dreaded finals. Baccalaureate, May 27, created mixed feelings for the Seniors -expectancy and nostalgia. Then on May 28, 1956, long lines of white-robed seniors became historical figures of G. H.S. and entered the threshold of a life entirely dif- ferent from what they had experienced for the previous twelve years. JUNE As the gfaduates began new vocations, they put behind them final school activities, the school picnic and the Senior Prom, but retained pleasant memories of G. H.S. which would last for years to come.
