in The happiest school year in the life of any American boy or girl is the one in which he enters school for the first time. Our happy year was guided by our beloved Mrs. Martha Green. She was our shining light for whom our best efforts were given in love and devotion. We have held her never-failing concern for us during that year with highest regard as we have matured and realized that the debt that we owe her can never be paid. She showed us our first glimpse into the miracles yy of reading, writing, and arithmetic. We loved her for hery devotion to us when we were little people. She was the one who so firmly planted our steps toward our education. 2
