Sarah Fenn and Earline Shiver have become nurses. They served three years in the WAVES along with Joyce Suber, Virgie Ola Eubanks, Virginia McGee, and Martha Blount. Later on, Joyce, Virginia, and Martha decided to become secretaries, Joyce is employed by the Suber Super Market, but it doesn’t look as if she will be there very much longer. She has that certain gleam in her eyes--better watch out Wright. Virginia is working with the Sawdust Tobacco Co., as secretary and bookkeeper. Betty Crosby has also become a secretary. She is employed at Nuts and Bolts Inc., but her main job is keeping up with Dan. Charlotte White is the bookkeeper of the growing Cut Mag Corp. Maggie Potter is a private secretary to the richest man in Docville. Madam Geetfeechqueek suddenly gasped, and the Seniors all crowded around the crystal ball to see what had caused her excitement. They all saw Burma Smith riding around in a brand new Cadillac. He is an officer in the Navy, having just returned from a four-year visit to the Hawaiian Islands. He can tell many interesting things about his visit, mainly about the Hulu Hulu girls. Norma’s husband is also in the Navy. They are the proud parents of two children. Sarah Fenn's dream is to come true. She is to visit Nashville, Tennessee, and hear the hillbilly singing. Earnest Tubb is to teach her to sing “I’m Walking the Floor Over you”. It is rumored that she is engaged to a hillbilly. Welburn Rowan attended the University of Notre Dame where he was the star football player. Ellis Hill is the owner of the largest chain store in Florida. Wayne Spooner is now the world’s greatest fisherman. He achieved this title with a fish that he caught in Shepard’s millpond last year. W inton Clark has bought out Splendid Lunch. Faye Evans is still busy traveling back and forth from Cairo to Greensboro. Her ambition is to become a nurse. On the way home the Seniors had four flat tires, forty-six Coca Colas, and a blown gasket. They were finally arrested for failure to go on a green light. Burma's fast Ford coupe had stalled. Herbert had to go get his Mercury. 17
