Traveling 125 miles, 200 students watched the Hornets sting St. Andrews ,S e l S( i | he unnil was wild, the spirit could not be tamed for the rest oi the season. Even with the score of the first home game 114-85 (in favor of Campbell), the spirit remained high. The home court seemed to have a sorta ' magic spell for the team, because the Hornets won all but two of the games played on their own court. The apex ol the season was the home game with Lynchburg. It was neck and neck all the way through. With four seconds re- maining in the game, Radford assisted by Oldham laid one in, that put the Hornets ahead 70-69. From this time forward, the Hornets of Greensboro College were known as the Giant Killers. After that unforgetable game, the I lornets went on to close out the sea- son with a winning record of 6 wins and 4 losses, which put them Irani row: Bill S,lm.
