Dedication With great pride, the journalism class of 1981 has selected Mr. Robert Austin for our annual dedication. He has taught history at Greenland for the last five years. He is well known and re- spected by every student at GHS. Mr. Austin graduated from Decatur High School in 1963. He attended Arkansas Tech in Russellville for two years. He then graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1967, with a Bachelor’s Degree from the College of Science and Education in the field of Social Studies as his major. He then went to graduate school and holds the rank of a Master of Education with a major in Secondary Education. While in college, he was a member of the frater- nity of Phi Alpha Theta, an honorary history fraternity. Before coming to Greenland he taught Social Studies at Cassville High School, in Missouri, from 1967-1970. His last two years there he was their senior counselor. In addition to his teaching responsi- bilities, he is also a sponsor for NHS, FCY, and he is a very avid supporter of the various sports at GHS. We would like to sincerely thank him for his support and concern for the individual student’s education at GHS.
