After the ceremony was over, there was a mixture of laughter and tears as they discussed future plans and reminisced about the past. Graduation A last glimpse of the Class of ’77 12 Acmes DICKSON ST. NIGHTLIFE The Journalism Staff took a poll earlier this year to find out who some of the favorites of 1977-78 were. Here are the results: Song Movie Rocky Star Wars Actor Robert Redford Male Vocalist Peter Frampton I Just Want To Be Your Everything Andy Gibb Group Eagles TV Show Starsky and Hutch Actress Barbra Streisand Female Vocalist Linda Ronstadt 16 81 19 Who’s Who Wittiest Cwyn Bailey and Eddie Sisemore Letitia Lee and Andy Winn Most Athletic Deanna Caudle and Jimmy Corder Most School Spirit Debbie Nimmo and Andy Winn Friendliest If you haven't already guessed, the pictures you just looked at belonged to the winners of the 1977-78 Who's Who election. These faces just didn't appear on these pages; they were elected for these titles and should be congratulated. The election began with the nominations of Juniors and Seniors for each title. After the nominations were counted and the nominees decided; two Seniors (one boy and one girl) along with two Juniors were placed on the ballot. During lunch thousands of junior high people along with thousands of senior high people flooded the hall to cast their votes. After weeks of counting these votes, the verdict was just as you saw it in these pic- tures on the last few pages. 23 Homecoming Queen Linda Foster Gina Brooks Diane Forbes Escorts: Andy Winn, SGfliOT MdlciS Escorts: Dennis Anderson, Fred Brown Eddie Sisemore Terresa Phillips Lynn Myers Escort: John Munjoy JuniOT MsidS Escort: Jerry Anderson Hope Barrett Karen Smith Escort: Gary Sullins SOphOITIOre MaidS Escort: Wayne Phillips 25 Everyday Life! 28 Orgcnizations PIRATE BAND Bottom Picture—Top Row-jackie Johnson, John Lerz, Mark Nimmo, Phillip Northcutt, Jeff Potter, Kim McCarty, Mr. Wazelle.
