he 1987-'88 Cavalcade staff would like to thank Mr. Peter Hegelbach for the time and effort he has put into the yearbook. A first year faculty member, Mr. Hegelbach has not only brought new life to the Upper School art department, but he has also demonstrated innovation, care and patience working with the yearbook staff. He has offered his expertise in photography and layout, and has been helpful in management matters. Mr. Hegelbach teaches design and photography to Upper School students, plus several art classes in the Middle School. He runs with and coaches the Hornet Cross Country teams in the fall. A Princeton University graduate, Mr. Hegelbach has worked in Princeton Admissions, in an advertising agency, and as a lifeguard one summer on the East Coast. There is no doubt Mr. Hegelbach enriches the lives of students with the insight and wisdom he has gained from such diverse experiences. More important than his background however, Peter Hegelbach's talents and abilities are exemplified every day within the Greenhill Community. We feel that his freely given time and advice have been instrumental in the production of the 1988 Cavalcade. We salute Mr. Peter Hegelbach with sincere gratitude for the care and devotion he has demonstrated throughout the year. . 97616791 Q6l0d0lL

, V., W K ' ' vwM.id he senior class honors Mr. Perry Degener with this dedication of the 1988 Cavalcade. The seniors cherish his warmth and support and wish to recognize his sincere devotion to education with this small token of appreciation. At every turn of event or accomplishment Mr. Perry Degener exemplifies his interest and enthusiasm in the Greenhill School and its students. Although Mr. Degener officially teaches eighth grade reading, he does not restrict himself to touching only the lives of middle schoolers. As well as being the eighth grade team leader, Mr. Degener is the middle school coordinator for the Evergreen and coaches the upper school Ultimate Frisbee team. Mr. Degener shares learning with his students from a personal background of higher education. He received a B.A. from Kenyon College in Ohio and a masters from Westchester University in Pennsylvania. He continued his education with two developmental reading courses at TWU in Denton, Texas, and is presently working for a higher degree in English at North Texas State University in Denton. Not only does Mr. Degener succeed in instilling each eighth grader with enthusiasm for reading, but he also demonstrates continual interest in his students' well-being. It is Mr. Degener's kind of excitement for knowledge and growth that makes each working school day a little more challenging and a little more fun. Thank you, Mr. Perry Degener, from the class of 1988. merry We gamer
