Christine Eastus Mrs. Christine Eastus came to Greenhill from Fort Worth Country Dayin 1970 and brought with herawealth ofexperience, support, and guidance imported from private schools in Poland, England, and Peru and fine colleges such as the University of Texas and Vanderbilt. In her fifteen years at Greenhill and her eleven years as head of the English department, she has shown patience and understanding, especially in her classes and individual conferences. Her excellence in interaction with others is most notably evinced by her dedication to students at all grade levels and her sponsorship of such organizations as the student council and The Montage, to name a few. It is Mrs. Eastus' nurturing of our personal and academic promise that brings a student to rise to a challenge and put forth his best. As a result, she has become one of the most widely respected faculty members at Greenhill and one ofthe top few encountered in the career of teaching. Andrew Stifler Mr. Andrew T. C. Stifler came to Greenhill as an interim Head of Upper School, but little did any of us, including Mr. Stiller, imagine the impact his interim year would have. His contributions and efforts have reached beyond his main charge of heading the Committee on Evaluation. He took the concept of community established by his predecessors and expanded itg the expression privileges with responsibility became his key phrase and the basis for many of his suggestions and decisions. While his stay at Greenhill may be short in terms ofyears, his contributions and good humor will be remembered by the students and faculty that have been fortunate enough to work with him. We wish Mr. Stiflerthe very best and hope that he knows that he will always be a part ofthe Greenhill Upper School.

Maggie Lepair Lorene Zeiter fuses When Greenhill was young, they came. The years have raced by, and each teacher remembers the white frame buildings off Spring Valley, the tire, the ground breakings, the tearing out of walls, Mr. Foote becoming head of Lower School and then headmaster . . . but both cherish most the memories ofthe students they have taught. To Mrs. Zeiter and Miss Lepair we dedicate this page. You each have helped us to expand our horizons, taught us to laugh, to care, to love Greenhill, and to appreciate leaming new ideas and skills. You both will always be remembered for the joy you have brought to our lives. Maggie Lepair, French teacher to lower and middle schoolers, came to Greenhill twenty plus years ago with a bonjour and the determination in her soul to survive in her newly adopted country. She has shared with us the joy of learning another language and understanding a second culture. In the last few years, she has concentrated her teaching on the little ones, the first and second graders, who have adored a very special lady. Lorene Zeiter - science, art, language arts, fourth grade homeroom teacher, advisor to children and parents, assistant head of Lower School . . . throughout the years she has been enthusiastic and sympathetic in tum to all students and fellow teachers. She has taught each subject well and developed the character and potential of each student. She is a person with a zest for life and a sparkling sense of humor. She is an inspiration to all who know her.
