Remembering coming to Greenhill as a lonely, isolated child who didn 't know a soul reminds me of the unique qualities of the Greenhill faculty. It was my fourth grade teacher who provided the warmth and patience that enabled me, for the first time, to realize my potential as a human being and a student. They pulled me from my shell and taught me that reaching for the stars should be a way oflife to be practiced on a day to day basis. There was a little bit ofstar in every spelling word properly memorized and every multipli- cation fact sheet accurately completed. This environment woven by the Greenhill faculty is what makes Greenhill. Throughout the periods of change in administration, the emphasis on a qualified staff if has remained constant. Green- hill teachers are known to be genuinely interested in each individual student, both in school and out of school. They want to help the student to reach and grow in school, and they want the school environment to be positive and enjoyable. The Headmaster One of the many jobs of a headmaster is to recruit and to retain a strong and qualified teaching staff Mr. Foote has done his job well. Greenhill has a superb staff of committed, dedicated, dynamic and well-educated teachers. Mr. Foote also takes a direct interest in students. He attends virtually all special events at Greenhill, which range from the Preschool 's Nutcracker Suite to Senior Follies. Achieving the goals of Greenhill must always be Mr. Foote 's primary concern. He works constantly to take the diverse elements which make up a large school and mold them into a coherent, vibrant community.
