my-, The Great Outdoors If there's one thing that there is plenty of at Greenhill, it's the great outdoors . Trees, dead grass, and pollen abound on the campus, as well as Dr. Pepper cans and food wrappers. The times one can spend outside are limited, though. In the winter, one can only enjoy the outdoors if one dares to brave 00 wind chill factors. In the spring, pollen wracks the hayfever sufferer's sinuses. But there are those days when Greenhill is a veritable utopia. The sun shines and the breeze blows, and an upper schooler can place himself under a weeping willow by the pond and dream about his happy days in the lower school .... And a lower schooler can sit out by the three chimneys and dream about those days when he can be a big upper schooler, too ....

if -f , sid . Growing Up Among all the other side effects that Greenhill produces, growing up stands out particulary. The highly-structured social atmosphere will not only teach a student how to, and how not to, get along with another, but also how to be accepted or rejected by his 'peersn The trials and tribulations of school, any school, are probably among the most conducive factors in developing adolescent maturity. Who will ever forget staying up until four oclock studying for a test or writing an English paper one suddenly remembers? And what about coming to school and watching the teacher pass out a test you had forgotten all about? These and many other educational ordeals serve only to add to one's sense of responsibility, maturity, and impending insanity. And, of course, as always there are those who never seem to grow up ....
