The unique element is what distinguishes one personality from another. These identities have a vitality which penetrates every aspect of life. When diverse caricatures are portrayed collectively, the resulting mosaic crystalizes the colors and qualities of individuality. The problems of the puzzling, lonely World are met with answers and friends, as We contemplate ourselves. . In a beige room I talked clipped whispers with a lady who faded while I looked at her. Even our voices were oyster-white. My generous monsters were pale as puff balls of dust. Leaves on trees I grew turned dingy. I mowed stale grass. Friends parked station wagons like huge dead mice by my house that was nearly invisible. Dollar bills turned pale when I kept them in my wallet. I dreamed of mountains gray like oceans with no house-lights on them, only coffins that walked and talked and buried each other continually in beige rock in beige sand. Then I discovered the color yellow. I drank yellow for breakfast, yellow at lunch, gold for dinner. Red was the color of pain. Now I eat red all day. The sky is her yellow color. The grass is red, the sources of the grass are orange. Sometimes no-color years rise in slow motion like Mozart on drums. Their name is Chumble. They smile as pale as grass but red piles like needles on my eyes. The color yellow promised me everything. It snows red this month of May which is July. Yellow lives in California. Red islands float like the pain that this book is about. Donald Hall 'Katz' I Y a.,m 4 Www ,, WWW-fvf H ' 'R my 'E Lynne Elise Rosenthal Quack . . .frog. . . Huh? . . .g'iggles. . .G1enn. . . Unique to this year's book is the use of Olan Mills as pho- tographer, the middle school as layout section, and the involvement of a larger than usual staff from previous years. A record was set in the ad campaign led by Jim Hutcheson and Scott Beard ably aided by Amy Fields. The total in ads and sponsors made it possible for the yearbook to finish in the black. Section editors were Cindy Mallett, Lee Mont- gomery, and 'Kathy Reeves. Especially hard- working members were Jan Fischl, Janie Mal- lett, Lynne Rosenthal, Lynda Blum, Sabrina Pratt, Lori Huffstutler, and Alison Porter. Daleann States typed the majority of the book. Craig Lidji and John Burnett were artists- designers. Photographers were Mr. Frisbee, Lee Montgomery, and Walter Levy. Mr. Joe Frisbee, sponsor, hopes to see the tradi- tion of a competitive staff grow at Greenhill. .X yt . E f x p lnyi . , ww, viii? I X E S wakss +, le s ,fi vw f N Q f X --asf 'Y cf' -YT . a .
