They have to be nurtured and treasured to receive their full wealthg but even so they become tired and seem to fade away. Thenwe meet a friend of times past and we begin to talk and remember, Those old memories come back seemingly refreshed after their rest. We find that all the bad seems to be far in the background, and only those things most pleasant remain. We, the annual staff of 1958, hope that this yearbook may be that friend to bring back those wonderful memories of your days spent at Greenhill. At school Joysan's pleasing and witty personality has added to the spirit of the school. She is well known to her fellow students as the girl who can talk all of her teachers Qexcept Mrs. Conleej out of pop tests and homework. Although she can act and sing exceptionally well, her favorite pastime is sleeping. Joysan enjoys the languages also, having taken both French and Spanish. Joysan is planning to enter Howard Payne College in Brownwood, Texas, after graduation. There she will major in speech and drama. Be- cause of her carefree and friendly personality, she has become a favorite with her classmates. But her friends know, also, that Mollie has a studious attitude that has placed her tops with the teachers and kept her at the top of the Honor Roll both her Junior and Senior years. Mol1ie's passion for her horse Christmas has just recently been replaced by her new yellow Ford that accompanies her everywhere. The students at Greenhill will be sorry to see this witty senior graduate and leave to attend Rollins College in Florida, but we know that she will be as successful there as she was here. He always seems to have someone's attention, mostly girls, with his crazy cartoons and winning personality. ln spite,of his sometimes maddening impressions on the faculty, he has gained their affection. Buzz has had a leading part in all the school activities, being a hard-working foot- ball captain, an excellent basketball player, Vice President of the Student Council, and an active member of the Gourmet Club. WILL We, the Senior Class of 1958, Greenhill School, City of Dallas, County of Dallas, State of Texas, in the United States of America, being of sound mind and body, do hereby will the following items to those who are in the most dire need of our bequests: We give and bequeath, freely and without hesitation or reservation, to the members of the Junior Class, our rightful heirs, those valuable assets: our influence over members of the facult our sometimes uncontrollable wit, and that hallowed sanctuary--the Senior Room. We also leave to the Junior Class a can of stain and paint remover, which we are sure they will be able to put to good use in the much needed repair of the Senior Room, To the Sophomore Class we leave our worldliness and our numerous alibis in the hope that the class will put them to uses befitting their worthiness. To the Freshman Class we leave our ability to forget about those important tests the night before and our shining example of how to disregard the advice of teachers and threats against tardiness. IT EM I, Joysan Beene, leave my ability to talk Mrs. Baldy out of tests to my brother, Benny, who can more than use it. ITEM: I, Mollie Cox, leave my daddy-long-legs to Marie Stanfield. LINDA KAMENS, REPORTER, LONDON TIMES There's one thing wonderful about a job like mine . . . we really do get around . . . never a dull moment. When my editor gave me my last assignment, little did I dream that I would just about literally cover the globeg that I would go by plane, train, boat, and oxcart to the far corners of the world. Last week in Paris I ran into Mrs. Baldy, our language teacher at the old Greenhill School in Dallas. Imagine my surprise to learn that she is now teaching at the Sorbonne. Good old Baldy, she deserves the best. While we cafe au lait'd at a sidewalk cafe, we jabbered constantly about the happenings of the past ten years. Ihad these all rolled up in my notes of LIFE IN AMERICA columns, which I was just completing for the London Times. There were incidents about hundreds of people in my columns, of course, but she thumbed anxiously through for names from the old Cavalcade. It was no surprise to her to learn that Mollie Cox is considered the outstanding fashion model in New York, and that her private secretary had told me that she was booked for six months in advance. It's a wide, wide world for a slim, slim girl. Proud owners of BUZZ-RON, INC. are Buzz Dicken and Ronnie Lowry. They appear in the 1968, WHO'S WHO as the competition that caused the fall of Walt Disney's empire. Handsome Ronnie and dashing Buzz are famed for their unique sound effects . . . and such clever animation! I Here's a tasty morsel - Sunny California is now being enjoyed by the new Air Force wife, Mrs. Mary Lindsey Hutchison Flower. While her husband, now a top General, is attending to his S, A.C, duties, she lounges on the beach with her ten curly-headed children, He says he's lonely away from Dallas, but Craft Thompson seemed a natural in Hollywood, I saw him at the Brown Derby surrounded by drooling, devastating blondes, and he told me that the hardest thing he had to do was to say no instead of I do. Well, oh well, hasn t Randy Weyl done well for himself? Coach Weyl is now considering which of the offers made to him by Oklahoma and Greenhill School for Boys and Girls to accept. As both are his alma maters, it is hard for him to decide which of these two great football teams merit his direction, When we got this far in our reminiscing, Mrs, Baldy had a surprise for me. She had been a week-end visitor at the Riviera chateau of the Prince and Princess Mocambo. She is the former Miss America, Ellen Harrison. Good casting, she said . . . and she should know. Once in a while, a new star explodes on the cinema screen, Now it is Scott Kneese, the leading man in a revival of an old television character. . . Maverick, I believe, When Ioysan Beene comes over to Paris next week, the three of us plan to have a get-to- gether. We shall be so anxious to hear about her debut as Madame Butterfly. She will rest a while before appearing at LaScala, Elsa Maxwell told me that her visit herehis eagerly awaited by the international set. A V And now, Pat Woodul has reached her goal, at last, She has just dedicated the building she designed in Boston. Aw shucks, Mrs. Baldy knew about that, too, for it is the only one of its kind in the world. . . a thirty story bamboo Teahouse. . . open only in August.
