Not only did Coach Haymann's Harriers go undefeated against all Parkland rivals in dual meet competition, but they also were victorious in the Conference meet and the perennially tough Mar- shall Invitational. All-Conference medalists Pat Guiney, Paul Rediske, and Mike Doolin placed 2nd, 4th, and 8th respectively in the Parkland meet. Guiney was recipient of the Most Valuable Player award. 92

The Hustlin' Hawks gymnastics team, at the completion of its third year of competition was undefeated in its regular duo and tri-meets this season. Besides compiling an undefeated record, the Hawks hosted the first annual Fuhrman Invitational and placed second by losing to Bay View. Jeff LaFluer, who was named the Most Valuable Gymnast , led the team to a first in state by cap- turing firsts in four events including all-around.
