Not only did they capture their fifth consecu- tive cross country crown, but also registered the first Hawk runner, Frank Prindl, to capture the individual first place. Missing first place because of a disqualifi- cation in sectionals, G.H.S. came in third. ln the state meet the Hawks united to place second. Prindl was honored as M.V.P. 114 Bailey, Bob Russom, Dave Mueller, Wally Henderson, Ken Bencz, Coach Haymann. Hard work, some fun, a lot of rest ls Coach Haymann's key to success.
