Leaving many memories in the hallowed halls of GHS, the Senior Class also leaves many -tangible things which were introduced during 1962 and 1963. Two new clubs were started: the Key Club and the Varsity Club. The Key Club was un der the leader¬ ship of a senior president, Ceorge Quadrino, and senior boys helped bring the Varsity Club into reali¬ ty. The new Student Patrol System was under the di¬ rection of seniors. Something entirely new, the “Teen Scene,” a page in the Creenfield Recorder Gazette edited by the local junior and senior high schools made its appearance. Under the influence of seniors the price of the “Exponent” deci iased. Seniors also produced a spectacular play, “Grandpa’s Twin Sis¬ ter.” (We had many offers to produce the show on Broadway, but being a modest group we gracefully 20 refused! Besides, we had too much homework!) After Christmas vacation we came back with bright ’n shining faces, lots of New Year’s Resolu¬ tions, cases of Metrecal and No-Doze. Finally, after a long, hard, cold winter the momentous month of June rolled around. First, there was the Senior Prom where everyone had a wonderful time. Then came graduation. As we marched into the auditorium we made only a few mistakes. (But after all, we’d only practiced marching since February!) That day of graduation on June 25, 1963, was probably the most important day in our young lives. It was both an ending and a beginning. The Senior Class of 1963 now surged on to do great things in the world of tomorrow.
