Pat has succeeded in winning her share of com- mercial awards, for she has received the 5 min. 60 and O.G.A. certificates in shorthand. She has also entered into sports, having played intramural basketball in her Sophomore and Junior years. One of Pat's hobbies is square dancing and much of her time is spent in this way. CYNTHIA PENN HOLMAN I in Hobby - Parties Favorite Saying - Oh, pot Sin wishes to live to be a hundred, but if she overworks her hobby - parties, she may fall short of her mark. So we tell her, but she replies: Oh pot. Sin did a good job on the Exponent , Yearbook and football dance committees and Dramatic Club in her Senior year. She was also active in intramural sports and Glee Club. ALICE ELIZABETH HUME Bette Ambition - Nurse Favorite Saying - I don't know Thanks to Alice, who furnished her cat for a main part in our Senior Play, this great epic was presented with a full cast. This is only one example of Alice's helpfulness and dependabilty, which she has shown during the past years. Among her extra-curricular activities, Alice has neen a member of the Camera Club and has taken an active part in softball and intra- mural field hockey during her high school career. She was also a member of the 'tExponent staff in her Sophomore year. DONALD HUTCHINSON Hutch Ambition - 141 Green River Road Hobby - Wood working As Hutch's time has mostly been spent working in the Vocational School cabinet shop, he hasn't participated in extra-curricular acti- vities. Nevertheless, he has worked hard and has a valuable foundation for his life work. PATRICIA ANN JACKMAN Pat Ambition - Secretary Hobby A Square dancingg taking Favorite Saying - Who, me? dictation from radio Pat is one of our commercial students from Room 18, Participation in musical shows, the Glee Club and the Yearbook Advertising Committee are among her activities. Pat was the only student to receive the O.G.A. Uuniorj writing progress pin. Other awards in- clude the Progress Pin, five minute 60 and 80 certifi- cates, O.G.A. certificate in Shorthand, and the 40-word bronze medal in typewriting. JANE LORRAINE JAWORSKI Janie Ambition - To graduate Hobby - Dancing Favorite Saying - Oh, no Jane has been quite active in the Glee Club and on many committees during her high school years. She was in the former club while a Sopho- more and a member of make-up and property committees that same year. Also, she served as .an usher for the Senior Play this past year. ff! The rest of his time at G.H.S. has been spent learning the fundamentals of the trade he hopes to enter. Roller skating has taken up some of Curly's time outside of school. GEORGE LEVERITT HATCH Joe Ambition - Printer Hobby - Photography Favorite Saying - What's up? George has been kept quite busy preparing the pages of the Exponent and doing the many other tasks required of a member of the Voca- tional School print shop. George should now have a firm foundation for his future ambition of becoming a printer. DWIGHT HENRY HAWKINS Ditto ' Ambition - Success Hobby - Skiing Favorite Saying - What's the scoop? Four years duty in the United States Marines has certainly given Dwight a first-hand geography lesson. Dwight was quite active also, before joining the ser- vice. Besides playing intramural basketball, he was on the Student Council and on the track squad. WILLIAM FRANCIS HAWKINS Hawk Ambition - Buy a parking Favorite Saying - Think space at Poets' Seat I care Bill is that member of Room 18 who is always ready to participate in something new. Among his varied activities, Bill has taken a part in the Camera Club, the Student Council, and the Foot- ball Dance Committee. Also, Bill played intra- mural basketball during his Junior and Sopho- more years and was elected to the position of Homeroom Chairman three times in succession. RICHARD LEO HAYDE Dick Ambition - To be a marine Hobby - Hunting and out- Favorite Saying - Say, boy! door sports Dick was one of the members of the G.H.S. Green Wave football squad during his Sophomore year and he also was a member of the Exponent staff for one year. This vocational student was also a participant in the annual P.T.A. Parents' Night during each of his three years at Greenfield High School. Dick served as a member of the Vocational Dance Committee during his Sophomore year. JANICE ADA HENDRICK Jan Ambition - Secretary Hobby - Souvenirs Favorite Saying - Now, stop it! This active C.P. Senior has served in the Dramatic Club and on the P.T.A. committee this past year. Joe, one of the Associate Editors of the Emerald this year, has taken part in several other school acti- vities during his past three years. First, of course, Joe will be long-remembered in his role of Grandpa in the Senior Play, Meet Me In St. Louis. Besides the Senior Play, Joe has also taken part in the Drama- tic Club in his Senior year and the Archery Club during his Sophomore year. Lastly, Joe has been active in the Senior Class Council during the past year. MAR Y ELIZABETH JONES Mary Ambition - Own the driver of Hobby - Collect- one particular ing match H1949 Olds covers Favorite Saying - That's your fault, not mine While Mary has not been collecting match covers, she has been making a name for herself in the Commercial Course. She has received both the Theory certificate and the O.G.A. certificate in shorthand. There are a lot of '49 Olds around, but we hope Mary finds the right one. EDWARD PAUL KELLER A mbilion - Teaching Ilobby r J. C. Favorite Saying - Hi kid! Eddy has been one of our most active class leaders. His scholastic standing has been high during his three years of high school and everyone is acquainted with his ability in track. He has participated actively in Student Council, dramatics, Exponent and Pro Merito. His ready grin and quick humor have en- livened many a class. Success to you, Eddy, in your chosen vocation of teaching. DELORES ANN KESTYN Dolly ' Ambition - Nursing Hobby - Trying to lose weight Favorite Saying - Jeepers Dolly has been active in the Dramatic Club, the Forum, and the Bowling Club during her Senior year at G.H.S. She served on the Make-up com- mittee of the Senior Play and has been a member of the Yearbook and Football Dance committees, as well as an Exponent feature writer. Ath- letically, she has been on the softball team three years and has played intramural basketball. EUGENE JOSEPH KLEPACKI Eugene u Ambition - Work Hobby - Traveling Favorite Saying - O.K., let's go Eugene's years at G.H.S. have been concerned mainly with the Vocational School machine shop. However, during each of his three years here, he has found time to be a member of an intramural basketball team. Eugene is one fellow who should have no trouble in attaining his ambition. PHLOISE ELAINE KOONZ Phloise Phloise is one of the less active members of the class of 1950. Nevertheless, she participated in the Glee Club while she was a Sophomore and a Senior and was a member of the Exponent staff during her first year at Greenfield High School.
