PAUL DAVID HALLOWELL Skip Ambition - To be manager of a store Hobby - Sports Favorite Saying A You gotta agree there While Skip spends most of his afternoons as a clerk at Kenney's Shoe Store, he has had time for sev- eral school activities. Among these have been the Oneonta Dance Committee and the Senior Activity Committee. In the sports field he has participated in intramural basketball this past year. MARY LORETTA HANLEY Ambition - Keep in business Hobby - Pine Neck with Kate Rd. Favorite Saying - What happen? Mary, one of our commercal students, has re- ceived the O.G.A. certificate in shorthand. She has been active in sports, having played both varsity and intramural basketball. Mary is a person who always has a hi and a smile for everyone. MARY THERESA HANLEY ' Mary T. Favorite Saying - Eat, drink, Hobby - Having fun and be merry, for tomorrow we die Mary T. is well known for her ability as a dancer. She served on the ticket, entertainment, and decorations committees for the Club 5O dances in her Sophomore and Junior years. She served on the music and enter- tainment committees for the football dance. Mary, also, took part in the musical show and the class play in her Senior year and was a member of the dramatic club in her Junior and Senior years. JOHN HARRINGTON John Ambition - Pilot Hobby - Airplanes John is a vocational student who has been too busy to take part in any extra-curricular activities at G.H.S. John does have an interest in aviation and hopes someday to become a pilot. If he con- tinues to work hard toward his goal, he may some- day realize his ambition. JAMES WARREN HARRIS Varsity Jim Ambition - To accomplish something Hobby - Beating great in life The Batchelors in basketball Favorite Saying - How 'bout some work? Jim's been one of the star athletes of our class. Be- sides being a three-year member of the basketball team, Jim played football for two years and was a member of the track team three years. Aside from athletics, Jim has participated in numerous commit- tees and has been President of the Boys' Glee Club. JANE HASKELL Janie Ambition - Traveling Janie has participated in intramural basket- ball as well as holding membership in the Drama- tic Club during her high school years. Her service has also extended to the Football Dance and Club SO committees. FRANCESE MAY GOODALE A'Fran Ambition - X-ray Technician Hobby - 166 Conway St. Favorite Saying - You don't say Although not too active in school activities in her Sophomore year, Fran has made up for this by her participation in several organizations since that time. Among these groups may be named the Bowling Club, the Glee Club, and the Football Dance Committee. Then, too, Fran took part in intramural basketball in her Junior and Senior years. As far as commercial awards are concerned, Fran has taken her share of those, also. She has been awarded the Theory Certifi- gate, the 5 min. 60 Certificate, and the O.G.A. Certi- cate. JOHN MICHAEL GRADER U Huntsie Ambition - Take a long trip Hobby - Baseball, Favorite Saying - Of course hunting, and fishing Huntsie's strong right arm hasilgiven plenty of help to the baseball team. He really has whizzed the ball over and has been one of the mainstays of the club. Besides playing baseball in his Junior and Senior years, Huntsie went out for track his Junior year and played intramural basketball all three years. Huntsie has been in Hi-Y and Arch- ery Club in his Sophomore and Junior years. In his Senior year he participated in the Forum. MINNIE JOSEPHINE GRAVELINE Mickie Ambition - Working Hobby - Eating Favorite Saying - Oh Lord! stop it! Mickie has been 'a member of the Sympathy Com- mittee and has served on the Oneonta Social and Foot- ball Dance committees during her Senior year at G.H.S. An energetic member of the class, she states that her ambition is working and no one can deny that Mickie's hobby is impractical, for she states that it is eating. CONSTANCE GRAVES Horsey Ambition - Travel and meet Hobby - Horses and people sports Favorite Saying - What can you do? Besides serving as Vice-President of the Bowling Club in her Senior year, Connie has served on the make-up committee for the Senior play and the art committee of the Emerald. For excellence in shorthand, she has been awarded the 5 min. 60 certificate. Connie has also been active in the sports field, playing intramural basketball for two years. RONALD HENDERSON GRAVES Ron Ambition - Store manager Hobby - Sports Favorite Saying - Don't put off till tomorrow what you can do today ' Ron has proved that he has an interest in sports by being an active participant in intramural.basketball for the past two years. This active vocational student has also been a member of the high school band while an underclassman. His afternoon work at the Growers' Outlet has prevented him from participating in any other school activities. ORIN WENDELL GURNEY Orin Ambition - Body man Hobby - Driving Orin is an active member of the Vocational School. He played intramural basketball during his three years at G.H.S. He was also Class Trea- surer in his Sophomore year. Since his hobby is driving, Orin has to watch out for those ever- dangerous women drivers.

The rest of his time at G.H.S. has been spent learning the fundamentals of the trade he hopes to enter. Roller skating has taken up some of Curly's time outside of school. GEORGE LEVERITT HATCH Joe Ambition - Printer Hobby - Photography Favorite Saying - What's up? George has been kept quite busy preparing the pages of the Exponent and doing the many other tasks required of a member of the Voca- tional School print shop. George should now have a firm foundation for his future ambition of becoming a printer. DWIGHT HENRY HAWKINS Ditto ' Ambition - Success Hobby - Skiing Favorite Saying - What's the scoop? Four years duty in the United States Marines has certainly given Dwight a first-hand geography lesson. Dwight was quite active also, before joining the ser- vice. Besides playing intramural basketball, he was on the Student Council and on the track squad. WILLIAM FRANCIS HAWKINS Hawk Ambition - Buy a parking Favorite Saying - Think space at Poets' Seat I care Bill is that member of Room 18 who is always ready to participate in something new. Among his varied activities, Bill has taken a part in the Camera Club, the Student Council, and the Foot- ball Dance Committee. Also, Bill played intra- mural basketball during his Junior and Sopho- more years and was elected to the position of Homeroom Chairman three times in succession. RICHARD LEO HAYDE Dick Ambition - To be a marine Hobby - Hunting and out- Favorite Saying - Say, boy! door sports Dick was one of the members of the G.H.S. Green Wave football squad during his Sophomore year and he also was a member of the Exponent staff for one year. This vocational student was also a participant in the annual P.T.A. Parents' Night during each of his three years at Greenfield High School. Dick served as a member of the Vocational Dance Committee during his Sophomore year. JANICE ADA HENDRICK Jan Ambition - Secretary Hobby - Souvenirs Favorite Saying - Now, stop it! This active C.P. Senior has served in the Dramatic Club and on the P.T.A. committee this past year.
