Among these groups are the Dramatic Club, Exponent. and several dance committees. Fur- thermore, she has been Treasurer of the Pro Merito society and has played intramural basketball for three years. Of course, we mustn't forget her excellent por- trayal of Katie, the Irish cook, in the Senior Play. Also, Jeanne has been the Business Manager ofthe Emerald this year. EUGENE DE NOFRIO Eugene Although not active in school affairs, Eugene has certainly made himself well-known in G.H.S. Walk into the First National Store any afternoon after school, and you will see Bill smiling at you from behind the cash register. Yes, that's where Bill is most of the time and, incidentally, is the reason why he has not participated in many school affairs. WILLIAM AIKEN DOBBROW .. 0 ,, Ambition - Architecture Hobby - Records Favorite Saying - It's 'mung' Dob has been an active member of our class, serving on various committees, playing intra- mural basketball, and acting as a football and baseball manager. He is also a member of Hi-Y. Whether you want to hear classical, popular, or jazz records, you will find them at Dob's house, for his hobby is collecting records. GEORGE STANLEY DOORE SIosh Ambition - To get all the Senior class bills paid He has played football, basketball and baseball in his Senior year and baseball in his Junior year. Stan has served as class treasurer, home room chairman, member of dance and yearbook committees. He acted in Senior play, sang in the Christmas Concert, served as I-Ii-Y Secretary, and as a member of the Glee Club and Dra- matic Club in his Senior year. BETTY ANN DREW Shortie Ambition - Own Bill's in Hobby - Sam Millers Favorite Saying - You know? Betty has certainly taken her share of com- mercial awardsg she has been awarded the 40, 50, and 60-word medals in typewriting and has earned the 5 min. 60 certificate, 5 min. 80 certifi- cate, and O.G.A. certificate in shorthand. As for extra-curricular activities, Betty has participated in the Glee Club, the Bowling Club, and several musical shows. 1-na x IM 'ESV CHARLES CRONK Bucky Ambition - Printer Hobby - Sports Favorite Saying - Play it Cool Another one of the fellows in Print Shop is Bucky Cronk. Intramural basketball has been among his class activities. A sports' fan, Bucky's ambition is to become a printer. He is an active member of Com- pany L National Guard and much of his spare time is spent in this way. His philosophy of life seems to center around his favorite saying of P-lay it cool. TED WILLIAM CROTEAU Ted Ambition f To smoke at home Hobby - Pool Favorite Saying s How about that Ted is known for his work on the scenery for the musical show and the Senior Play. Ted was active on the basketball team in his Junior year and has been a member of the Stage Club during his Senior year. JEANNETTE CLAIRE CURRAN Jenny Ambition - To be a secretary Hobby - Borrowing pen- Favorite Saying - You telling me! cils from Bobo Jeannette hasn't had much time for extra-curricular activities. All her time has been spent earning com- mercial awards. In shorthand Jeannette has been awarded the 5 min. 60 certincate, the 5 min. 80 certi- Hcate, and the O.G.A. Certificate. For typewriting Jeannette earned the 40-word bronze medal. Her desire to be a secretary should be aided considerably by these awards. Jeannette tells us also that she has an interest in dancing. LEONARD KARL CURRIER Lenny Ambition - To work on cars Hobby - Working on cars As one might suspect from Lenny's ambition and hobby, he has been an eager member of the Vocational School auto shop. Lenny, although not taking part in school activities, has earned a definite place in our class. MADELINE MAY CURRIER iVIaddy Ambition - Travel Hobby - Horseback riding Favorite Saying - Oh, gee Maddy , a member of the Glee Club, has shown her skill in the Christmas Concert and Musical Show. She has also been active on numerous committees, the Exponent and intramural basketball. A member of the Commercial class, she has received the O.G.A. certificate. 'AMaddy can often be seen engaged in her favorite pastime of horseback riding. ' MARY PIA DALMASO Mary', Ambition - To become a secretary Favorite Saying - Hey, you guys Mary has received the following shorthand awards: Theory Certificate, 5 min. 60 certificate, 5 min. 80 certificate, as well as the O.G.A. certifi- cate. Mary has been a member of Pro Merito and has been active in the Bowling Club in her Senior year. Mary also ushered at various school acti- vities.

ROBERT DUPREY 1J11pr ' Ambition - Travel Hobby - Driving Favorite Saying - Hi, boy. Most of Bob's extra time during the past year has been taken up by homework and by work. Bob was a member of the football team during his first year at G.H.S. and was on the basketball team during his Sophomore and Junior years. ROBERT PAUL EDMONDS Rookie Ambition - Tap dancer Hobby - Dancing and girls Favorite Saying - You better watch that stuff Rookie will be remembered for the tap dance exhibition he gave at the school dances and musi- cal shows. He captivated the hearts of all, and he always was sure of an encore. Rookie played intramural basketball in his Junior and Senior years, and he was in the musical show all three years. Rookie was also a member of the Boys' glee1Club and took part in the History of the aro s. RIELLA EMERY Ambition - Join navy Hobby - Rita's Favorite Saying - Shoot Riella, our snappy cheerleader captain, has actively participated in basketball and field hockey in her years at G.H.S. Vice President of Student Council and Secre- tary of her class, Riella has done her share in joining school extracurricular activities. The coming years should not be dull for Riella if her ambition is realized. ER WIN ARTHUR ENDERLE Erwin Ambition - To have a tank full Hobby - Getting of gas in the car Barb mad in just once Rm. 26 Favorite Saying - What d'ya say Erwin is a member of our class who has not participated in many school affairs. In his Senior year, however, he was an active member of the Bowling Club. BERNARD THOMAS ETHIER Bernie Ambition - Successful artist Hobby - Painting, winter sports Favorite Saying - How about that now! Besides having charge of the art work in this year- book, Bernie has been quite active in other school acti- vities. Who can forget Bernie's realistic portrayal of Lon , .Mr. Smith's son, in the Senior Play? When Bernie was a Sophomore, he took an active part in the Archery Club. Also, for the past two years, he has been a member of the Forum. In his Senior year he has served on the Program Committee of that group. DAVID OSCAR PAY lIDaUeYY Ambition - Go to California Hobby - Women Favorite Saying - Think I care Dave certainly has been the spark of life in many classrooms. Besides his hobby of Women Dave has been active in sports. He participated three years in'intramural basketball and was manager of the football teams in '48 and '49. Dave was a member of Hi-Y and, in his Sopho- more year, was an active member of the Archery C-lub. Dave wants to go to California someday.
