N.C.A.C.S.S. COMMITTEE EVALUATES G. H. S. In fhe Spring of I95I, fwo members of fhe Indiana Sfafe Commiffee of fhe Norfh Cenfral Associafion of Colleges and Secondary Schools individually visifed Greenfield High School and, subsequenfly, recommended fhaf fhe school should be evaluafed during fhe school year I95I-I952. Re-evaluafions may be made upon requesf by fhe member school or af fhe discrefion of fhe Sfafe Commiffee. Dr. Carl G. F. Franzen, Sfafe Chairman of N.C.A.C.S.C., discussed fhe evaluafion procedures wifh fhe faculfy in November, I95I. This was fhe IcicIc-off for fhe long, arduous, difficulf fasks fhaf 'faced fhe feaching sfaff. Teachers, working individually and in commiffees, spenf many hours defermining fhe dafa as prescribed on fhe evaluafive criferia forms as prepared by 'I'he Cooperafive Sfudy of Secondary School Sfandards. Finally, in February, I952, Dr. Franzen direcfed fhe Evaluafion Commiffee fo visif Greenfield High School and fo evaluafe fhe school in fhe Iighf of fhe self-analysis which had been made by fhe faculfy. For fhe mosf parf, fhe members of fhe commiffee were principals of high schools fhaf are members of N.C.A.C.S.C. Dr. O'H'o Hughes, Univer- sify School, Bloomingfon, served as Chairman and was ably assisfed by Earl Lemme, New Casfle High School: Wayne Donson, Hagersfown High School: Maynard Wolf, Lincoln High School, Cambridge Cify: Myron Clarlr, Harfford Cify High School: Wilbur Barnharf, George Washingfon High School, Indianapolis: and Russell Rayburn, Sfafe Deparfmenf of Educafion. This commiffee carefully sfudied fhe forms as prepared by fhe high school faculfy, visifed classes, and prepared fheir findings for submission fo fhe Sfafe Commiffee of N.C.A.C.S.C. The Sfafe Commiffee, in furn, submifs ifs reporf fo fhe annual meef- ing of fhe Norfh Cenfral Associafion. As 'Ihis copy is being prepared, Greenfield High School has nof been advised of fhe recommendafions of N.C.A.C.S.C. as fhe resulf of fhe evaluafion. Greenfield High School has fhirfy-nine fransfer pupils-fwenfy-fhree from Brandy- wine, fwo from Blue River, and fourfeen from Cenfer Township.
