Each of fhe boys who wenf ouf for frack showed up in his parficular field. Usually Earl Haynes sfarfed fhings off by fhrowing a firsf-place shof and Bill Jackson would pole vaulf and run fhe mile relay. Kenny Van Duyn reserved firsf place in fhe 440 and 220-yd. run and you could depend on Dick Darling for fhe mile and half mile. Coming in for fhe 880 and 440 was Frank Whife followed by Eddie Brooks. Arf Whifaker could nof find much compefifion over fhe hurdles and had fo go fo fhe Secfional where he placed 4fh. For fhe half mile re- lay Dick Elsbury would feam up wifh Arf Whifaker, Bob Pope, and Kenny Van Duyn.
