,122 qoreffes anof 8171122 lzqbr Drum Major - Mike Doty Head Majorette -Jeannie Anderson Jeannie Hill, Beverly Phillips, Nancy Penland, Patti Ricker The combined eighth and ninth grade band numbers one hundred and five members. The band performs for football games and parades as well as in school concerts. It also participates in the band festival which is spon- sored by the East Tennessee Band and Orchestra Association. The Drum Major and Majorettes are members of this band. During marching season the majorettes perform their duties in the capacity of twirling. The Drum Major directs the band on the field and in parades. In concert season they resume their places in the band, playing their instruments. The seventh grade band, composed of ninety members, is primarily a training group. They performed in Greeneville's annual Christmas Parade as well as several other functions during the year. In addition to the group activities, some students from each band participate in clinics and solo and ensemble festivals in the winter and spring. Greeneville Junior High School's instru- mental program is on an upward move. The attitude and cooperation of its members show this to be true. Zazmf Qzkecfor ss Mr. Dan Treadway
