RURAL SCHOOLS This year the schools of the area operated for the first time as the Greene Community School District. Because of the lack of building space, these rural schools were kept in opera- tion under the supervision of the community district. It will be necessary to continue some of these until a new elementary building is constructed. Some additional services were offered to these schools, such as transportation and attendance at assem - bly programs held in the High School Auditorium. All Eighth grade pupils of the area were brought in to the town school. Plans are underway for more help and supervision for these schools during the coming years.
