THE KEYSTONE Athletics C' N closing the present school year we are prompted to review the events 6U that have brought honor to our students and school. Possibly nothing has been more outstanding in its relation to school spirit and school life than the basket ball season just completed. The season was ushered in with three inexperienced men, but by hard work and faithful practice the rough edges were worn off and by mid-sea- son old G. D. V. S. took her place with all schools of this section. Some of the strongest teams on the year's schedule were met the early part of the season. The followers of the team firmly believe that if these games were played at a later date the margin between scores would have been considerably narrower. Time has taken from us, by graduation, Capt. Simons, Grimm, guard and Osborne, forward. These three men were clean, hardworking and loyal members. We trust that the example they have set will bring expres- sion in the new men of next season. With the help of Hazleton, Waltz and Carlton we trust the team of next year will be able to present its Alma Mater a record as glowing as the one for the season just closed.
