But fellas I never touch The Stuff! f As the end of the school year rolls around, the most enthusiastic remark one is likely to hear is Lemme outta here! But at the same time we realize that each year has its distinguishing features which set it apart from all others. Unfortunately, as the years slide by, our memories lose their edge with constant use, and are apt to become indistinguishable, one from the other. It is the job of the Yearbook, as seen by our staff, to sort these memories out while they are still fresh, and place them in their proper position, so that they may be easily referred to in future years. So, as the best known cure for nostalgia that is known, we offer you the 1964 Greene Lite for your approval! 3 Coxkx£$ DEDICATION ADMINISTRATION FACULTY SENIORS CLASSES ORGANIZATIONS AND ACTIVITIES ADVERTISING DEDICATION MRS. CORINNE MAXON 6 Mrs. Corrine Maxon has acted in her capacity as a Home Economics teacher at Greene Central for several years, and her many students would probably unanimously agree, were we to say she is one of the best. To say that she was a good teacher would reveal only half of the picture, however. Acting outside the classroom, at various duties such as club sponsor, class advisor and the like, she has become an indispensable member of the Greene Faculty. We seriously feel it is about time that her efforts were recognized, so, with great pride, we dedicate the 1964 Greene Lite to Mrs. Maxon. 7 To The Class of 1964: MR. BENNETT District Principal This year it has been my opportunity to work more closely with your class. It has been a pleasure. When you leave the halls of G.C.S., try to think of your experience here, what this means to you in the future. Don’t let this be the end of your education process. Continue in every way possible to build on the foundation that has started here. We all wish you the best as you travel along the road bf life. Use it wisely. i VI BOARD OF EDUCATION SEATED: Mrs. I. Flannagan, Mr. Raymond, Mrs. L. Flannagan. STANDING: Mr. Weir, Mr. McLean, Mr. Burrows, Mr. Race. 8 MR. PEARL To the Class of 1964: Commencement Indicates but a continuation upon a way through life which you already have elected. Your high school education has been successful only if it has given you direction, im- petus, and a purpose for living. Only 60°Io of those who were born in America the same year as you are being graduated from high school. You have enjoyed a common privilege in a free society, may you guard with uncommon vigilance the heri- tage that has made this privilege possible. The faculty joins me in wishing you success. We shall fondly remember the class of ’64. To the Class of 1964: The world needs young adults with vision and integrity. May your achievements at Greene Central School open the door to you for a useful, significant service. We wish you success and happiness in your endeavors. 9 MR. PALMITER Congratulations to the Class of 1964! You have achieved a great victory in the continued development of mankind. It provides basic instruction in several occupational fields, so that its members may take their place in society, with a minimum of adjustment, and serve as useful members of the community. Under Mrs. Churchsmith's able direction, this program has been largely successful, as reflected in the individual success of its members in assuming their careers. We are proud of the endeavors of these people, and hope this class remains a part of Greene Central as long as there is a need. 66 STUDENT COUNCIL FIRST ROW: G. Holcomb, K. The combination of eagerness and willing- ness on the part of the members of the Council will no doubt result in a very fruitful year, and will do a great deal in clearing up any cloudy image that the Student Council may have acquired. The Council has several projects which it hopes to carry off this year, including a Student Council Newsletter, a carnival, a foreign exchange, and numerous others. At any rate, you will be hearing a great deal from the Council this year and in years to come. It has been a privilege to work with these people, and this will undoubtedly prove to be a rewarding experience for all concerned. 68 HONOR SOCIETY HONOR SOCIETY - FIRST ROW: S.
