Seniors, As We Know Them Yes, our seniors have made a record. Some of them will continue to make records and will be remembered for some time to come. Let's see what they have done while all together as a class in high school. FAY JONES: The little but mighty senior president was a member of the band, of the Ink Pot Staff, played a role in The Black Suitcase and The Youngestn. LOIS FORD: Our Queen served as this year's vice-president, played in In Arcady , was a member of Student Council and Girl Reserves, and also served on the Prom and Carni- val committees. CHARLES I-IUTCHESON: Mose was our junior and senior finan- cier, a member of Forum, the National Honor Society and was a baseball and basket ball star. BERNARD FULKERSON: who thinks Love is the sweetest thing , was a faith- ful member of several clubs. GENEVA MILLER: Sunny but a little moonstruckn. She was interested in clubs and Robbins , WAYNE DOUGHERTY: Comes to us from Kentlandn and wonders who'll be left to argue when he's goneg worked on the Minaret, Ink Pot, and was a member of Student Council. VIRGINIA GEABES: Oh, those dancing feet. She preferred the wedding ring to a diploma, but while in school was interested in clubs. TOM MURNANE: Froggie was the first to have executive honorsg a member of the Prom Committee, Student Council, and was another of our athletic stars. ELISABETH NORTHROP: NWhy hurry?', First won a James Beverly Lucas award and later played in In Arcadyn and was a member of the Forum, Student Council and the Minaret Staff. EILEEN BOOTS: Cleopatra had a part in In Arcady , and was a member of the Ink Pot Staff. BILL HARLAN: Reno kicked the ball in the field and enjoyed clubs. DORIS VVILLIAMS: Our poetry contributor came to us friom Clinton Center. JOSEPH PICKENS: What,s a car without horns? served on the Minaret Staff and worked in the Carnival. FREDA BRATTAIN: Capable', enjoyed the Minaret, Ink Pot, and Glee Club. HAROLD KAISER: He isn't a woman hater afteri all worked on the Prom, Ink Pot, and was business manager of the Minaret. JEANNETTE CAMPBELL: Stav as sweet as you are was a member of the National Honor, of Girl Reserves, of the For- um, of the Prom Committee and the Minaret Staff. also had a role in The Black Suit- case and the senior play. PHILIP OXNAM: He'd walk a mile for - - - was one of our athletes, Student Council president. a member of Forum, and the cast of The Black Suitcase . MARY BELLE MARTIN: Had to come back was sophomore vice- president, played in The Black Suitcase , spent her junior year at Shortridqe, then back to Greencastle as Carnival chairman, Minaret Editor, and again a Girl Reserve. CHARLES TORR: The man about town was a member of the track team. and of the senior play cast, of several clubs, and was basket ball manager. JUEL MADDOX: Thais Judv was this vear's Girl Reserve president, a National Honor student, was in the cast of The Black Suitcase and on the Minaret Staff. She plaved the lead in the senior play. JACK MCCARTNEY: Wouldn't be good if he could and couldn't be good if he would. He was sophomore president, a member of the band. of the Forum, and of the Minaret Staff. BETTE FENN: Was a member of the Girl Reserves, of the Ink Pot, of the Prom committee, of Forum, of the Minaret Staff. and of the cast of Trysting Place and The Youngestv. PAUL BINTZ: He's a putty good fellar faithful to the band and the Minaret Staff. GENEVA COOPER: was a member of the Cooper Trio . DONALD COX: Thinks there is nothing quite like Roachdale a-nd athletics. MADELYN MARK: She lets clubs take most of her timer MARY ALICE TIGNER: Brilliance comes to us from Danville and Worked on the Minaret Staff. - VENARD JOHNSON: Put deserted Putnamville for Greencastle. HARRY ROB-ERTS: Is a good worker. EVELYN ALLEE: Let Glee Club and her trio take most of her time. JAMES HARRIS: I wonder why anyone hurriesf' ANNA RUTH NEIER: 4-I-I Club enthusiast. She has a great interest in home economics.

Seniors, As We Know Them WILMER MCCLAY: Mickey', came from Oakdale to graduate with us. MARY LOU BEEM: Sophistication', began by winning a James Beverly Lucas Award. and worked on the Prom. PAULINE PAVLOS: Alpha . She won a James Beverly Lucas Award and contributed to the Forum and the Minaret. LYMAN BECKLEY: He left Quincy to spend his junior and senior years with us. VIRGINIA ADAMSON: Pretty is as pretty does. She was quite active in clubs. RICI-IfARD COFFMAN: XVaves divided his high school years between Princeton and G. C. VIRGINIA MYERS: Silence may be golden for some but not for me. She was a step in the Minaret and helped with the senior play. DICK THOMPSON: Coiffure was a member of the football team, of the M'naret Staff, of the Student Council, and of The Black Suitcase . LUCYLLE XVHITE: Successful took an interest in the Minaret and clubs. Also had part in The Youngest , the senior play. IVA SURBER: Our ath- lete was in In Arcady and worked on the Minaret. TED GLIDENVELL: Farmer's Glide spent his first two years of high school in Fillmore, and while here proved active in sports and worked on the Minaret and Carnival. HAZEL KNAUER: The song leader who makes them peppyf' EVERETT ERNEST: Be1'ry . MARGARET PITT- MAN: XVOnders if you said something and gives excellent readings. RUTH BLACK: Our artisti' chose clubs. VIRLYN MCCAMMACK: If he had been caught younger he might have been tamed. HELEN JONES: What shall be, will be . XVas in In Arcadyi' and was a National Honor Society Member. DONO- VAN HEBER: 'iOur Sheik . VERA ROXVINGS: Likeable was in In Arcadyi' and clubs. ARTHUR EVANS: 'iThe blond another from Putnamville. VIRGINIA YOUNG: She was a 4-H club member, in the cast of In Arcady and was helpful with the Ink Pot and Prom. EDNA ALSPAUGH: Stenographer took part in In Arcady . HERBERT VON TRESS: He looks serious. HELEN WILLIAMS: Cheerful came from Putnamville. JOHN FIDDLER: He spent part of his time at Quincy High School. GAYLORD MASTEN: We wonder if he is as interested as he looks. MADONNA STROTHER: i'IN'Iy old flame. HENRY IVIYERS: Band Boyfi ELEANOR EITEL- JORGE: She's our blonde and is interested in art. BARNEY SHANER: Free from care and strife, he rejoices in a farmer's life. MILDRED JOHNSTON: Keep smiling took part in In Arcady . LAURA STRANGE: Some day she'll be a good school teacher. ESTELLE CHAVIS: An ear- full of music - - - EMILY SHANER: Our best listener. HUBERT KELLY: Grin was the business manager of the Ink Pot. XVILMA DICKEY: Sweet and charmingf, FLOSSIE FOXVLER: His nameis Xvillardfi HELEN XVATT: Wl1at not f0u.1'1d an interest in baseball and the Ink Pot. FRANCES CALLAHAN: I want to be a blond. ISABELLE HATHAWAY: Blushes come and go. EILEEN WELLS: Our musiciann took part in In Arcadyn. BERNIECE PLESSINGER: It's really red. GERALDINE MANIS: I came, I saw, I conquered. Came from Stilesville. FLOY NEIER: A drop of this and a pinch of that-radio listeners. Was interested in 4-H clubs. K JOE ALLEE: If at first you d0n't succeed- was his motto and he was our iunior president and a member of the Student Council, also Forum. NORMA YORK: They always fall worked on the Prom and the Ink Pot. DRUCELLA WRIGHT: Dancing . LETHA STROTHER: Contagious is that smilef' ADRAN LONG: fHe'll make some one a fine husbandn was one of the band boys. HELEN BOSXVELL: The way to a man's heart. EDNA ROACH: The gold band won instead of a di- ploma, so she left usf, CHARLES COX: He's a fine fellow coming from Denver, Colorado to us, was a member of the Minaret Staff. V ELIZABETH BOWMAN: Who believes all men are alike , was on the Ink Pot staff and the Prom committee. JOHN FLEMING: The ivories talk for him. EUGENE MOORE: Another Putnamvilleitef, MAURICE JONES: Slim . EWAN CARTRIGHT: The boy who would rather hug a basket ball than anything else. GERALD TODD: The artist and arguerf' .
