We, the annual staff of Greencastle-Antrim High School, take great pleasurein presenting this record of school life and events, the 1956 Conococheague. We hope that in glancing at its pages you will remember the time spent in G. H. S. and the peo- ple met here. In this book we have tried to capture some of the typical scenes and routines: days crammed full of exams, labs, play rehearsals, gab sessions, laughter in the halls, lunchtime in the main room, anxiety over report cards, practices in the gym, good- natured teasing and joking, lively discussions at class meetings, teachers trying fusual- ly in vainj to keep order in the auditorium study hall, the halls blocked with talking twosomes, the assembly programs, and the rooting and cheering at our athletic events. Memories are precious things, the sound of happy voices, the spirit of good sports, the molding of our ideals and aspirations- -all compose school life. The 1956 Conococheague is yours. You have made it, we have preserved it through word and picture. 3
