The Tri-Hi-Y sponsored a bake sale this year to raise money for the Hi- Y-Tri-Hi-Y service pro- ject-securing a flag pole for our campus. They hosted the region- al pre-legislative session held prior to Youth-in- Government. The group also hosted a Christmas tea for teachers. Tri-Hi-Y prepares Christmas treat for teachers The Hi-Y purpose is to involve members in developing leadership, brotherhood, equality, and service while increasing an awareness of oneself and the world. Students participate in Youth-in-Govern ment Each year, Hi-Y and Tri-Hi-Y members busily prepare themselves for Youth-in-Government, one of the YMCA's leadership programs for youth. Students gain invaluable experience as they take over state offices the three days they are in the state capitol. This year's Youth-in-Government will be held in April. 93

Student Council secures telephone booth for campus The Student Council, under the leadership of Ver- non J ones, student body president, is made up of the homeroom presidents and the three class presidents. Their accomplishments this year in- clude a. student Christmas dance and an outside telephone booth. 4
