Junior class presents Hillbilly Weddinm November 22, 1974, was the date of the annual junior class play. This year, the juniors presented Hillbilly Weddin' , a comedy. The cast consisted of: Paw Belsnickle-Bryan McClung, Maw Belsnickle-Vicki Underwoodg Ceelie Belsnickle-Johnetta Estep, Bonnie Mae Belsnickle-Sandy Ford, Juney Lou Belsnickle-Patricia Forbes, Four-Cheryl Gwinn, Five-Mary Dale Farren, Six-Bonita Meadows, Obey Upschlager-Lee Scruggs, Ronald Maxwell-Alan Williams, Lucy Maxwell-Robin Sheaves, Reverend-Jimmy Crookshanks, Cousin Zeke-Matt Simmons, Cousins-Pam Staley, Lisa Silman, Johnny Manspile, Barbara Murphy, Greg Chewning, Danny Win- don, and Brenda Brown. All proceeds went to the junior- senior prom. BELOW are scenes from the play.

West seniors compete for junior miss title On November 16, 1974, two Greenbrier West seniors, the two region titles, entitling her to enter the state Rhnea Hylton and April St. Clair, competed for the junior miss pageant at Concord College, January 18 and regional junior miss title. The competition, involving 19, 1975. Six-year dream completed in I974 For six years Cavaliers dreamed of their own athletic field. Then, on August 30, 1974, that dream came true. West's first football game was played on the ground where only rock and mud had been. What was the out- come of that historic event? -- Greenbrier West-223 Richwood High 'School-71 It was on that night that the athletic field was launched into years of service for future Cavaliers. Such a dream did not appear overnight. Many people from many walks of life shared the Cavalier dream. It is because they sacrificed their time, money, and effort that we can now call that dream a reality. Who do we thank? We can thank many, many people: Alderson National Bank, Anderson's Paving, Appalachian Power Company, Board of Education, Georgia-Pacific Company, Imperial Smokeless Coal Company, Leckie Coal Company, Darrell Fleshman, Paul Hurst, Tracy Hylton, Herb May, Cliff Neal, Bob Painter, Bob Price, and Sonny Stroud. Cavaliers are especially indebted to Mr. Bill Lewis, who secured S50,000 from the Greenbrier County Revenue Sharing Funds. BELOW is our athletic field when the work on it was progressing.
