This year we have endeavored to build a book that will be a treasured souvenir of your days at Greenbrier. This is a book of memories-memories of sunshine and shadow-memories of the many friendships you have made here. We have shown you in military formation, in the recreation room, on the athletic field, in your home for nine months-your own room. All the significant features of the school year have gone into your 1948 Brier Patch. May you leave The Brier with an occasional glance back at the boys left behind, who will soon be doing the same. Take your year book in hand at various times. You will receive a bit of cheer when you feel blue. It is the sincere hope of the entire staff and the faculty adviser that you will be pleased with your fellow cadets' efforts in editing this hook. May it bring you a smile or two. May it bring you a tear or two. May it add to the prestige of the school.
