Sponsor Womanis Athletic Association This busy association marked off the seasons for us with a sequence of activitiesg softball, Volleyball, basketball, all in tournament play with high spirit and the good les- sons of victory and defeat met with a smile. Of course We played the faculty and the cadets at basketball for the benefit of the March of Dimes. That was a thing indeed. Among other activities were the carnival, the overnight trips to camp, the bowl- ing club, the famous auction of important persons for a day, Cthat Was a thing, toolj, and the big Mardi Gras dance. Spur ALONG THE TRAILS When West Virginia weather allows riding, the hills provide the best riding. Whether we wind through the heady splendors of autumn, gallop into the first yellow green of spring, or breakfast after an early ride through the blossoms of a mountain May, We have always Hne vistas before us. We go to White Sulphur Springs to ride from the Dickson stables along the trails maintained by the Greenbrier Hotel. The extra jaunt which takes us to the stables may reduce the number of our rides, but it also adds a further pleasure to the occasion. When did ever a girl object to getting awayv from her steady environment? 38

Swimming at the Greenbrier The Greenbrier Hotel is always generous in welcoming us to the sports facilities there. They are superior, of course, and sometimes we encounter celebrities. It is always a pleasure to take off for the White Sulphur for one of the sports available there--for swimming in the pool, for golf, riding, bicycling, or hiking along the resort trails. The Greenbrier is a valuable neighbor to Greenbrier, and we hope to be coming back to both of them. Page Rl
