Text from Pages 1 - 104 of the 1965 volume:

Dear Green Bank High School we love you; And to your colors will e’er be true Our colors stand for fighting students And this is what we say, Rah! for Green Bank High School; Blue is our color for loyalty Gold stands for sports pure and clean, We fight to win and we love our fellows; Dear Green Bank High School Team. ALMA MATER DEDICATION To a man, who has proven to us, not only that one equals two, but also that we progress only when we see things that need to be done and continue to do them. His influence has brought us a step closer to becoming intelligent, independent, and responsible citizens. He has emphasized, both orally and by his example, that one must always conduct himself in an honorable and sportsmanlike manner. To Mr. June Riley, who has so generously shared his knowledge, we respectfully dedicate this annual. PANORAMA A pause. We turn and take A backward glance at Our year past. We behold . . . A profusion of memories. The record has been written. We are proud. And we are glad that our Fortunes let us walk This way. GRADUATION June 7, 7965 Principal’s Message VIRGIL B. HARRIS Education is the process through which minds are formed so that as this procedure continues the individual becomes more and more able to adjust to the world. 'A lot of learning may be a dangerous thing’. To have a lot of book learnin and not be able to make proper use of it through the proper sense of values will result in failure. It is the hope of this school faculty that rewards will be returned only in direct proportion to the honest efforts that are put forth to gain such rewards. The pages of this publication have been made by a group of students, members of the National Honor Society, who have done a bit more work in order that we might have a written record of some activities in the school during the past four years. We heartily thank and congratulate them for this extra effort. Page 9 FACULTY Carol Marsh Secretary Joan Barkley Minnie Parg Linda Cassell Harold L. Crist Carolyn Gragg Page 10 H v‘. Sheet' Virginia Grandon Page 68 “Fm just not the do-it-yourself type!” You don’t have to be! All through your house, electricity today does many things you wouldn’t want to do the old-fashioned way. Like washing dishes or laundry, waxing floors, cleaning rugs and curtains, and a whole lot more. And does it at a low price that makes it the best bar- gain in your budget. That’s right. Today’s electric dollar buys more electric service than ever before. And now we-and the more than 300 other investor-owned electric companies throughout the country—are planning and building to keep your electricity plentiful and low in price always!
