GREEN BANK HIGH SCHOOL Green Bank, West Virginia by the JOURNALISM CLASS 1958-59. •7 V V Alma Mater Dear Green Bank High School we love you; And to your colors will e'er be true; Our colors stand for fighting students and this is what we say; Rah! for Green Bank High School; Blue is our color for loyalty Gold stands for sports pure and clean, We fight to win and we love our fellows; Dear Green Bank High School team. foreword To the class of '59 we proudly submit this annual, which records precious memories and ideals of Green Bank High School. In the future as we look through the lens of this telescope we will recall many friendships which we acquired during our happy years at Green Bank High School. 3 Dedication Our Special Angel best describes Miss Patsy Fields who is behind some of our school activities that are worth while. Stu- dents in the past as well as present have benefited by her knowledge that she has re- vealed to them earnestly. Still others have gained through her endless efforts with the annual and our school paper. If it be Journalism, English II, Civics or Sociology she is always there—not in a slap-happy way but in an efficient and cap- able manner. We wish to express our deepest appre- ciation to Miss Fields for ourselves and the many others who have gained from her in- structions and guidance. To Miss Fields the Mountain Breeze Staff of '59 respectfully dedicate this book. 4 County Ministration Mr. Mack H. Brooks Superintendent of Pocahontas County Schools J. K. Harris, Principal Green Bank, West Virginia GREEN BANK GRADE SCHOOL The School will preserve this book which will serve as a record of some of the things that you have done during the past four years. You have barely started the foundation for the requirements to enter into a society that may seem strange to you. Your adjustment in this society will depend, in a large measure, upon the training you have been willing to accept during the past four years. The task is yours. Your future happiness will depend upon your seriousness of purpose when you get out into this society, and your willingness to put forth an honest effort to do your bit. The returns from any investment is in direct proportion to the amount of the investment. I suggest that you do your part and you will receive ample returns. If you do little you may expect small returns. 7 First Row Virgil B. Harris, Principal Phyllis M. Arbogast Betty M. Barlow Second Row W. E. Blackhurst Jean G.
