Cast Will and Zestament The members of the Senior Class of 1953 in good health and possessed of solid heads do make and execute this our will and testimony before leaving Green Bank High School. We hereby warn any person who may try to break or alter this will that in such case we shall haunt him to the edge of the grave itself and reap vengeance upon him too horrible to describe in words. Our distinguished place in the high school we will to a group known as the Junior Class. We place upon them the responsibility of maintaining the school reputation as well as we have done in the past. To the afore mentioned class we also leave two homerooms to be theirs during the year 1953-54. In addition to the Juniors we leave two class sponsors now residing in Mental Institutions'due to causes beyond our con- trol. Also to you, Juniors, we may bequeath any present Senior who flunks and fails to graduate. To the Sophomores, our sister class, we leave our richest blessing with a sin- cere hope that you will re-establish the school reputation which the present Juniors will doubtless destroy. We also leave to you Sophomores our past records to serve as inspirations to you in your future struggles. To the present Freshmen Class, now past our authority for the first year, we bequeath a measure of dignity that you may properly fill the place of Sophomores. To you also we leave a picture of the class of '53 framed in the hall that you may gaze upon it each day and set for yourself a high idea of becoming such Seniors. To the Faculty of the school, we leave a belated thanks for all you've tried to do for us and if it will help you out any we advise the lower classmen to study a lot harder than we did. Our athletic record we leave to all teams in the future to gaze upon in admiration, our scholastic record we leave to------------, let's just not say any more about it. The beautiful carved initials you will find on the desks in the various classrooms standing for our worthy names we leave to posterity and unborn generations. The old gym we will to Green Bank for the next 40 years feeling certain we'll never get another. The peanut box known as the auditorium we leave to the Dra- matic Department as the best we can offer, if you want more room have outdoor plays. The cracks around the windows we leave to the hoot owls for free and un- hindering passage in and out the rooms. Such incidentals as hall radiators, desk corners, and secluded chairs we leave to the first true love couples who get to them in the fall of '53. To Mr. Harris, we have nothing to leave but we are asking Santa Clause to bring him a new loud speaker system and a bright red wig. To every one concerned in Green Bank High School we leave our blessings and to the high school we leave our sincere hopes for a future success far greater than the past. Signed and witnesses-- SENIOR CLASS OF '53

Class Prophecy After being separated for ten years the Class of 1953 have come together today. July 4, 1963, at the new remodeled Green Bank High School for a class re- union. There have been many changes in the Class of 1953, some expected, but other s on the recent standing of the classi herewith give it accurately as I am able to attain it. CHARLES BROCK: has been successful in the chicken business and now is owner and president of the Brock Hatchery of Dunmore, West Virginia. His hens specialize in different colored eggs, ready for Easter, BOB DILL: started to Medicine School and quit; since then has served two prison terms and is on his way to his third term because he likes the free board. Still single and a disgrace to the Dill family. CALVIN GALFORD: ispresident of the Wormhole Lumber Company at Dunmore, West Virginia. They have been pretty good on the prices but have a large company built up in upper Pocohantas County, The moonshine here today is the finest quality. BETTY TACY: Mat Queen Betty just won another match at Madison Square Garden to hold the World's Champ- ion Woman Wrestler for four years on the straight. Her husband Howard is her yearning partner. JEAN TAYLOR: was not able to be present nere today but sent a telegram from Raleigh, North Carolina to say that she was sorry that she couldn't attend. She married a wealthy North Carolina cotton grower, and is the mother of one boy and a girl. NAOMI WENGER: has made good in the television world by appearing daily over the Pappy’s Little Darling Show , but first had Rav Lewis Sage whom she married arrested for non-support. DELOR1SE WRIGHT: one of the few class members to remain around the Green Bank District and has married a woodsman from Cass. She has also raised three fine healthy young boys and is still w o r k i n g at the Mower Lumber Company Store. H.S. and chief judge in the moonshine-drinking contest sponsored by Lam- bert-Nottingham Moonshining Companies. KERTH GUM: hasn't married any girl yet but is now over at the picnic tableaflirting with Elva June Phillips telling her about being a cigar tester for the blue tip Cigar Company. CHARLES BRYANT: is one of the few members of our class to have to depart from life, but he died happy.
