Victory The girl's hasltethall team finished the season with I3 wins and ti losses. The youngteam had only 3 seniors, hut the girls vvorlced hard. Optimism ran high throug- hout the season and superior effort was put forth hy all involved. Coach l3owman's favorite game was the first Kellam game hec ause the girls played well and were their hest both offensively and defensively. The games were c lose and everyone reached their pealc performances during the exciting and thrilling games. The team lost their chances to malce the District Tournament in a last second shot againt Kellam. The team's dedication compelled them to do extra worlc in order to reach their goals. Coac h l3owman's feelings in the sea- son were that it was, a very intense season and I enjoyed worlcing with the players. They performed to their utmost and gave one hundred percent, all the time. There are many reasons tor the success of the team, hut the main reason vvas that there was much widespread talent. Each indi- vidual worlced hard to contribute to this success, quipped Saniu lsalcria. 49 Maury 38 Lafeyette 54 Norview 42 Kellam 26 Cox 32 Pheobus 28 Kecoughtan 37 Great Bridge 44 Norview 52 Lafeyette 46 Bayside 28 First Colonial 38 Princess Anne 37 Kempsville 38 Bayside 45 Kellam 59 Princess Anne 25 Cox 37 First Colonial 52 Maury 35 Kempsville Sports E09
