SLb T mm UD6E GAIN 3 ' FOR. TIMES mmcMTuM iCTIVUriES II THIS IS YOU 13 Mr. Thomas Burr, is ihe prin- cipal of our Pirate Home. He not only is concerned with keeping the school running smoothly, but is continually finding ways to improve our school. He is very willing to listen to you as a student and will go out of his way to help you. Jan Howland is the secretary here at G. R. H. S. and her duties are many. She keeps all the records of money for each class, bills for the school, helps Mr. Burr and whatever else might come along. She always wears a smile and is so very cheerful. Even though the day has gone wrong for her, she seems to always come up with something that will make you good and important. i Let's give a cheer to the cus- todians, Don Parks and Max Scott. They are a great help to G.R.H.S. They work long hours before and after school, to keep our school clean and in proper working order. They are always there to help you find things you might need. The cooks at G.R.H.S. are very hard workers. They put in many long hours trying to make lunch time more enjoyable for the students. They are always looking for a new recipe to please you as a student. But most of all they enjoy the LENARD LUNCH MOUTHS. 17 A REASON FOR: David Erickson and his Robert Rules of Order!! Z.£AO££SXIP... 19 20 - Kam Weihing - Student Body Vice President IfflVE COUNCIL - Kenny Evans - Comm. of Public Safety The Executive Council has been a very busy council this year. Relevant problems were discussed along with sugges- tions to improve activities and School Spirit. Several programs were given by Council members to promote a good feeling between the community and the students of G.R. H. S. They have worked hard to try and keep School rules such as the dress code enforced. They've done a great job this year and should be com- mended . - Carene Seager - Student Body Secretary - Dee King - Historian 21 Student Body Pres. Vice Pres. Secretary Historian Comr. Publ.. Come on Pres, do you have to pound that thing so hard??” These comments could be heard almost every Tuesday, when the Student Council meets in the Library. New and broader friendships, sharing dreams, created lasting moments, giving of self, pursuing interests, learning to communicate with each other within G.R. walls. THE CONQUERING MIND If you think you are beaten, you are. If you think you dare not, you don’t. If you like to win, but think you can't It's almost a cinch you won’t. If you think you'll lose, you've lost, For out in the world you'll find Success begins with a person's will - It's all in the state of mind. Think big, and your deeds will grow, Think small and you will fall Behind, Think that you can, and you will; It's all in the state of mind. If you think that you are outclassed, you are, You’ve got to think big to rise; You've got to be sure of yourself before You can ever win a prize. Life’s battles don't always go To the stronger or faster men. But sooner or later, the man who wins Is the fellow who thinks he can. 66 Wm ■ n- H m SCORES' G.R. 68 Mont. 55 G.R. 1+5 Duch. 49 G.R. 67 Tab. 71 G.R. 62 Alt. 65 G.R. 53 E.C. 57 G.R. •5 i Tab. 57 G.R. 72 Mont. 65 G.R. 70 S.J. 82 G.R. 64 Alt. 55 G.R. 52 E.C. 88 G.R. 59 Moab 65 G.R. 64 Duch. 77 K SCORES | 11 W A i i Vp| . • - 69 I LEFT TO RIGHT Tracy Spadafora, ■ Perry Hansen, Tab Weihing, Tracy Johnson, Ban Hansen, Brad Burr. They have brought out a great amount of spirit in all of our school activi- ties. They worked hard in wrestling and they stand for a lot in our school. This is the first year we have ever had a complete wrestling team and we are proud of the work they have put forth during the year. Wrestling has turned from a weak sport to a very strong sport in our school. This year there is a lot of potential and it is being proven. TO BE BEST Good is the enemy of best; and the thing that most do not realize is that it is not much harder to achieve the second than the first. Rather it is a question of which you expect of yourself; and of your ability to see adversity not as a roadblock but as a challenge of great interest. Desire is the whole point. mid what your mind sees wnen it looks through the sights of your goals is where your effort will strike. TENNIS Coached by - An Hughes TENNIS TEAM - Allen B..
