Reflections The halls of G.R.H.S. Stand small against the book cliffs I stretch my hand and break the mirror, What was there is a one--- and wet remains. One mind, so full of thoughts, Reflects against the mirror. Still and smooth All is changed and is no more, And uet---- The start of a new school year is like the start of a sunrise. It begins very carefully, but gains as the time goes on. The steps you go through in a sunrise in the end creat a beautiful day. The steps we go through in our school in the end creates a beautiful year. There are special reflections we would all like to capture, to save and to cherish as we go through the years. So in this book there are memories, which we feel will be dear to you. Thank you Coni, LuRey, and Regi SCHOOL SONG We're loyal to you G. R. High, to the dear Green and White G. R. High. We'll back you to stand against the best in the land for we know you have sand G. R. High Rah! Rah! Go smashing ahead G. R. High. Go smash that blockade G. R. High. Our team is our fame protector. On boys, for we expect a victory from you G. R. High. Fling out that dear old flag of Green and White, for sons and daughters who are fighting for you, like men of old and giants facing reliance, shouting defiance, G.R.H.S. ! !! Amid the high old hills surrounding our land, for honest labor and for learning we stand, and unto you we pledge our hearts and hands dear alma mater G. R. High. PRINCIPALS MESSAGE This has to be one of the best years for Green River High School. This has been a year of positive student participation. A year of learning, of setting and working toward goals, a year of involvement, of caring about your education, your future, your school, your community and yourself. You must continue to be the captain of your own fate, plot your own course but plot it well. Chart your future with a straight and true bearing, for the times ahead will be a trying time, much more so than in the past. You are goint to have to be more responsible for your own success or failure, for your own actions, so prepare well. The glory of success comes only to those who dare try. Respectfully, Thomas Burr, Prin. 18 Mr. Evans is Vice Principal of our school. He is also our counselor. He gives us his support and enthusiasm in looking towards our future. Mrs. Howland is the Secretary of our school. Besides being a good Secretary she is a great friend to all of us. But we had a lot of fun. 85 d A . ! ,4« 4 A «£ .4 4a t ? I i  ifftf j ‘ ’. f - iji Su Several years ago-when neither Connie nor 1 was responsible for it-the yearbook fund developed a deficit of several hundred dollars. Succeeding editors were all conscientious about raising adequate funds for their yearbooks, but the old debt remained. Then this year the principal decreed that the old debt must be cleared or we could not have a yearbook. Since the present yearbook alone cost $1200, plus incidental expenses such as photography, the task of raising so much money would have seemed impossible to many. But Connie accep- ted the challenge, and in addition to paying tor this yearbook, raised an additional $400 to pay for some other yearbook's lack. Of course, her staff helped a great deal, but the ultimate responsibility was hers-and in appreciation for all her extra effort, this page is dedicated to her by . . . Keith N.
