De Uccitcopt TO THE OLD - TO THE NEW - Asyouturn through the pages of your 1955-56 Greenarian, we hope that the classes, organizations, and activities that are portrayed will recall to your mind the happy memories of ail days spent at the Old School and the New School. In this annual we hope to preserve many laughable and cherished memories that otherwise would be forgotten. The Staff SHARON ROBISON Oun Sony Where the quiet desert ends against the Book Cliffs And spires of Silent City touch the blue. The schoolbeli echoes far out in the valley. It tolls a song of years for me and you. A haunting song of happy, carefree learning To reach a goal in life worth striving for! A song of love and hope and tender yearning For all the cherished dreams life holds in store. As we watch the shadows lengthen on the mesa, Time will toll the schoolbeli of the years; Still calling Senior classes to commencement. And ring out gladly with the victors' cheers! With hearts alighted by ambition's burning, We leave the dear, old hallways with regret! Our feet are on the path that knows no turning, And we sing our Song of Years, - lest we forget! - Sharon Robison School So t p We’re loyal to you G. R. High, To the dear green and white G. R. High We’ll back you to stand, against the best in the land, For we know you have sand G. R. High, Rah! Rah! Go smashing ahead G. R. High. Go smash that blockade G. R. High. Our team is our fame protector. On boys for we expect a victory from you, G. R. High. Fling out that dear old flag of green and white. To sons and daughters, who are fighting for you like men of olden giants, placing reliance, shouting defiance, G-R-H-S. Amid the high old hills surrounding our land, For honest labor and for learning we stand. And unto you we pledge our hearts and hands. Dear Alma Mater G. R. High. vi MR.
