SENIOR CLASS HISTORY In the year 1956 the following members of the 1967 senior class began their long attendance in the Green Ridge School system. Donald Fiedler, Connie Pritchard, Kathy Miller, Thomas Mahin, Allen Durrill, and Arlyn Hartsock. Sharon Baslee also started with us but left dur- the 6th grade and returned in the 7th grade. During our grade school years we gained and lost many classmates. We were fortunate though, not to lose Linda Henning, Eberhard Kropp, Tim Knoernschild, and R.W. O'Donie1 after they joined us. David Likely joined us in the hth grade, but left in his sophmore year. Our junior high years were filled with many such memorable activ- ities as magazines sales, class parties, and the annual Bth grade trip to the Capitol in Jefferson City. In junior high Janice Bartels, Mary Seymour, Diane Mills, and Lois Pottorff, enrolled in our class. As we became nGreen Freshmenn we acquired two more new students, Susan Kelley and Gary Butterwick. We were represented in the sports field by Kathy, Lois, and David. we were proud to have Tim attend the F.F.A. National Conven- tion and sing in the State F.F.A. Chorus. The music field was not forgotten, for Tim also attended the District Vocal Clinic and State Music Contest. Our sophmore year brought us another new friend, Linda Binder. Eberhard was selected to attend the Sophmore Pilgrimage. Kathy, Linda B., Donald, and David were our athletes. Diane competed at State Music Contest. As juniors we were given the responsibility of preparing the Jr.-Sr. Banquet under the direction of Mrs. Dorothy Knoernschild and Mr. David Carson. Kathy, Diane, and Donald represented us in sports. we were happy to have Kathy as cheerleader. Tim was in the State F.F.A. Chorus again. Eberhard was elected treasurer of our local F.F.A. Chapter. We were proud to have Linda B. chosen as attendant for the F.F.A. Chapter Sweetheart. Now as nMighty Seniorsu we gain another classmate, Ihlia Rupe. We now have a grand total of 18 students. Linda H. was chosen president of the music department, and Diane is the vice-president of the music department. Linda was also elected president of F.H.A. Tim was elected president of the F.F.A., and Eberhard the vice-president. Our sportsman and sportswomen this year are Donald, Kathy, Linda B., Susan, Diane, Connie, Linda H., and Ihlia Diane was selected as a cheerleader. We were happy to have Ihlia cho- sen as one of the two attendants for the F.F.A. Chapter Sweetheart. Tim is the editor of the newspaper staff, and Susan is the associate editor. Lois, Janice, Sharon and Mary have been librarians. We have finally made it to the top of the ladder with happy memories of parties, ballgames, contests, and our edition of HThe Tiger To emphasize our present emotions we wish to choose a few lines from our beloved school song: Uwe are proud of our lads and our lasses, of honors won in days gone by, so here's a cheer for our old high school our old high school, our dear old high.H
