We have some new ones which provide a series of lessons at the beginning of the book, We have placed on our bulletin board a spelling poster. Airplanes are placed at the top with the caption, The 1OQ's Bail Out. When a pupil earns 100 on his weekly spelling test he plaoes a parachute under the plahes. ' On our second achievement test in language high scores were made by: Karen Berry, Joan Harvey, Celia Orr, David Upton, Cheryl Gorrell, Karla Caldx Brucl Rice. SPORTS NEWS As the Green Ridge' A and B basketi ball teams ventured to Leeton Tues- day night, November 24 two magnifi- Cent, games were played. ln me B. game Wayne Campbell played 'brilliantly scoring 26 points. David Likely was second with 8 and Kenny Ray followed with 7 points. As the game came to an end the score was Leeton 57 and Green Ridge 52, In the A game our boys. fought to the finish winning '72'to 71. With five seconds to play Jing Dove made a sensational basket Yfnotting the score at 68 to 68. Three extra minutes were then played and with four seconds left to play John Lange made another fine shot to defeat the Leeton Bulldogs 72 to 71, High point scorers were: John Lange with 23, Steve Ray with 20, Jim Scott with 10 and Mike Hagar with 9. News , The Green Ridge Chapter of F.H.A. held its monthly meeting on November 19: The meeting was opened with the president, Pat Fiedler, presiding. , Afterell business hed been discussed the meeting was turned over to Merle Walz and Edith Pottcrff.
