THE FUTURE The year is 1985. Terry Yunt and his assistant, Gary Bowlin, who are making people's lives more enjoyable by telling fortunes with cards, are ready to make their first dime of the morning. This brain storm swooped upon them while they were playing cards in study hall during their years at Green Ridge High. On Monday morning, George Dotson is the first puzzled person wanting to know what the future has in store. As Terry and Gary gaze through the magic cards, they find that George will soon make his second million by saving tips that he has received for helping little ole ladies across the busy streets of Green Ridge. Carolyn Easter, Terry reveals will donate to George the last dime for his two million. This is her last dime, I might add. The second person to saunter in for the enlightenment of Terry and Gary is Charles Elliott. He is now an agriculture instructor who seems to have the problem of receiving strange gifts from Wanda Hancock's two girls. Wanda always wanted to be in F.F.A. Now she is seeing to it that her daughters enjoy the privilege. Terry and Gary are baffled when Charles asks what the next gift will be. Finally Terry reports that the cards simply cannot, with certainty, predict the exact future gifts of the girls, who are so much like their mother--unpredictable Even after being out of school for twenty years, Shirley Freeman Still has the same problem. Her question is Uwho will it be Saturday night-- Bill, Jim, or John?H This question truly stumps Terry, Gary, and the cards. Gary predicts that Ronnie Heinaman the dare devil driver, and his back seat driver, Larry Martin, will win another trophy for beating a train to the crossing by only one second. While waiting for the customers, Terry reveals his views into the future of Sharlette Durrill, Gene Mills, and John Lange. John becomes a famous basketball playervbecause of his ability to look down through the hoop. Sharlette Uurrill and Gene Mills are now known as the BED BUGS, a famous new singing team. Terry peers dramatically into the cards to find out what John O'Doniel, Bonnie Ransdell, and Ronald Williams, are up to. He finds that Ronald slips on a bannana peel and breaks his little toe. Doctor John and his nurse, Bonnie, are setting it for him. Jim Scott, the owner of HYou Smash Em and We'll Fix Em,n enters to ask Gary what he can do about Ann Porter, his head mec- hanic, she continues spending all the company's profit on bubble gum. This one really stumps the cards. When Jim Johnson, a noted policeman arrives, he asks Terry who his next victim of arrest will be. Terry relates that it will be Phyllis Butterwick, charged with speeding, she will be racing llO miles per hour in a lOO mile per hour zone. Jim then desires to know who the judge will be. Gary predicts that he will be Judge Ronnie Durrill. Judge Durrill will go easy on Phyllis this time as he recalls the fun he has had driving.

I As the day wears on, the famous secretary, Pat Fiedler, appears and asks Gary how she can squeeze a salary raise from her new boss, Herman Vollmer The cards offer a serious piece of advice by sug- gesting that she invent something unique and open a business of her own. They advise her to invent a pushhutton device to make people grow tall. Terry says that a new T.V. show this coming season will be HSail Along with Shipps.u The star will be our own Margaret Shipps. Ann Arnett will appear on the show as a bus girl. Ann became exper- ienced in the work during high school. Night is setting in On Terry and Gary, who aren't used to night life, must close their shop to be ready tomorrow for another day of fun with the cards.
