Cafeteria The responsibility of preparing tasteful and nutritious lunches that would appeal to a generation of “fresh” food lovers could prove to be an awesome task. Mrs. Johnson and her staff faced this giant task daily. The freshly baked breads and pastries only com¬ plimented the delicious entrees. A salad bar was a welcome addition to the lunch program. The school nurse, Mrs. Debbie Humphries checked Anjel Lewis’ blood pressure. The Speech Therapist, Mrs. Maxine Ferguson was available twice a week to work with students and Ms. Shirley Smith was the Special Education Facilitator. Bus Drivers Left to Right: Eddie Arthur, Gladys Beard, Herman Travis, Mattie Ester, Huey Prymus, Jannia Speed, Jon L. Leives, Shirley LaCoure and Mary Whitaker. Custodial Staff Two of the most important facets of the school are the transportation of students to and from the campus and keeping the grounds and buildings clean and comfortable. The bus drivers and custodial staff provided these services with a smile. Ninety-five percent of the students were transported each day. Nozarene Peterson, Deloris Mays, Larry Small, Annie Ethridge.
