76 Office Personnel Heaven help the school that does not have an efficient office staff. These people, to say the least, are indispen¬ sable. Staying in the background the office staff controlled many functions of the school. The attendance clerk, registrar, Bookkeeper, receptionist and secretaries were responsible for part of the overall operation of the school. Assistant Principal, Mr. Huey J, Hunt, spent many hours working with students, individually and in groups. His main responsibility was to en¬ sure the enforcement of Board and School policies in dealing with student discipline. He also worked with the principal in scheduling games, club ac¬ tivities and other extra curricular events. At left Mr. Hunt explains to Vanessa Price the graduation schedule. Assistant Principals The Assistant principal responsible for in¬ struction and curriculum is Mr. John Baldwin. A lover of adventure and travel, he has traveled through most European coun¬ tries. Mr. Baldwin uses his administrative skills and leadership so as to promote the education development of each student. Together he and Mr. Hunt were im- measureable help in assisting Mr. James direct the total program of the school.

The library provided a place for students to study, do research, find interesting reading for relaxation and to use the current periodicals for up-to-date information. Mrs. Ruby Horton, librarian, provided the assistance. Counselors and Librarian The counselors assisted students in planning class schedules, career and college choices and other general and personal problems they had. Under their skillful attention, many students were able to make plans for a rewarding future.
