Flag Girls The Flag Girls and the Ma¬ jorettes added to the glamour and excitement of the marching band. Intricate moves, twirling batons and colorful flags thrill¬ ed old and young. Pictured left are the 1987-88 Flag Girls: Sylvia Tolbert, Georgia Washington, Mrs. Wilson, Kimaca Reynolds, and Miracle Magee. String Class Members of the string class included Standing: Jac¬ queline Thomas, Repunda Jones, Treshell Murff, Cynthia Murff and Demarcus Williams. The class was taught by Mr. Lorenza Williams. They gave several performances during the year. The members played for the Christmas and Spring concerts were a delight to the audiences. The Choir was given a new direction this year. Mrs. Sandra Wilson, who is in her second year as choir directress, was very selectable in naming persons to perform with the group. They received excellent ratings in competition in local and regional levels. They joined the band and orchestra in giving the Spr¬ ing musical. Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps 4 The junor unit of the Reserve Officers Training Corps (JROTC) at Green Oaks High School is the beginning step to train students to become officers in the United States Armed Services. The main propose is to develop students for positiosn of military leadership. The students take ROTC training in addition to regular schoolwork. During the summer after their junior year, the cadets take six weeks of field training. The Green Oaks staff pictures left include Staff Sgt. George Noble, Lt. Col. Eddie Mebane and MSgt. Eddie M.
