Egalitarians The Egalitarians is an organization made up junior and senior male students. Emphasis is placed on scholar¬ ship and service to the school and community. Each year they sponsor the Mr. Valentine Pageant and Academic Awards banquet, Christmas dinner fora needy family, and a tutorial program for middle and elementary school children. This year they gave a scholarship to the graduating senior boy with the highest GPA. The Egalirarians ' sponsor is Leroy Wesley. Go Express Staff The newspaper staff worked diligently during the year to put forth those issues that were important to the student body. The students involved in the pro¬ duction of the paper learned all facts of how to run a school newspaper. Mrs. M. Glover, sponsor, has high hopes that from this group will come an outstanding journalist. The EXPRESS publishes five papers with the final edition dedicated to the class of’88. Elites The Elites, a service club, was one of the busiest during the year. They worked a tutorial program for the area elementary schools, sponsored the Calendar Girl pageant and many community projects. Mrs. B. Bennett, the sponsor, organized the club in 1979.
