The offensive line has the responsibility of establishing a good running game and allowing the quarterback time to pass the ball. One of the best offensive lineman was Demetrius Mitchell. His efforts helped the quarter¬ back Robert Smith pass for a winning touchdown in a thrilling 13-6 victory over Huntington. Ardie Smith, was effective in the 28-14 win over Parkway. Earl Jones, was the chief factor in the 20-14 win over Fair Parks. The prime element of the defensive team were linebackers J. Holt, R. Swan, R. Gipson. Adding to the support was D. Clay.
