The Green Oaks Counselors have always been a very real asset to the school. This year was no exception. They were available to assist students in selecting colleges, careers, schedules, or with some of the other problems high school students encounter. With the availability of a variety of catalog and other tools the counselors are well equipped to advise the students. Throughout the year they administered tests, held group sessions and met in¬ dividually with students. Left: Mrs. Pearl White, Freshman counselor, Mr. Nathaniel Harvey, Sophomore and Junior counselor and Mrs. Bobbie Kendrick, Senior counselor met in the library to discuss plans for Career Education Week. Lower Left: Mrs. Kendrick and Charlotte Harris talked about the dates for the ACT. Lower Right: Mr. Harvey showed Quinnie Brown how her record appeared on the computer. Below: Mrs. White discussed the ACT Careers survey results with Tangela Lyles.

Green Oaks Library Throughout the year the Green Oaks media center was the ideal place to get the resource to bring the book report, paper or talk all together. The library had subscrip¬ tions to a variety of magazines, newspapers or journals and back issues are maintained for easy access so that students can easily research topics in a variety of fields. The library also has an excellent selection of books and encyclopedias to future student research. The library was open early and re¬ mained open after school hours to allow students more flexibility in finding time to use it. The librarian, Mrs. Ruby Horton, assists Sydney Prymus in locating information for a science project. Mrs. Delois Bennent, Library Secretary The A-V librarian, Mr. Larry Bryan, was always available to assist teachers and students in selecting the software or equip¬ ment they need in preparing for class. Films, filmstrips, records, video tapes, maps and other aids are prepared and catalogued.
