Elegance Personified The ELITES (Elegant Ladies In Today’s Educational Society) sponsor many ac- tivities to foster responsibility, encourage scholarship and add a bit of dignity for the young ladies on campus. During the year the Elites hand¬ ed out Christmas stockings and held their Annual Calendar Girl Pageant. Another project the Elites plan to undertake is a tutorial program for the area elementary schools. Their spring Carnival is something the youth of the community always look forward to attending. Then Plan Some More Mrs. Bennett, Elite Advisor, explains to the group that their success is due to the fact that they plan each event to meet the needs of the school, community and the group. The Egalitarians The Egalitarians is a group of young men organized to promote school spirit, scholarship and qualities of finer manhood. Under the sponsorship of Leroy Wesley, these young men put into practice the principles upon which the organization was founded. They assist a sister organization, THE ELITES, in several projects throughout the year.
